Superb company!! Good rates for home and auto. The best customer service! Excellent claims personnel, patient, compassionate and very knowledgeable!! Other companies should phone NJMs customer service and claims to find out how to do it correctly.Love NJM!

This place is a joke. I wish I looked online before I opted to get NJM. They only had 3.8 stars. Never knew when payments were due. No notifications no texts no emails or bills. Never received my information package. Called more than once about my package as I wanted my declaration page with all my breakdowns. Never received that or my insurance cards. Had to call all the time to ask for a copy to be emailed to me. Who in the year 2023 has NO APP to download on your phone so you can stay up to date with your policy? NJM is the only company! Poor service and all they say I am sorry we don’t like our company to do be ran like this. They said they see where I called numerous times but they did mail it out. Never received anything. Nothing will they so do help. The only thing that came good out of this that I am saving $40 a month on auto with a different insurance company with better insurance. Do yourself a favor do not sign up with NJM Insurance. Maybe they should get a mascot and an app!!!

I called to quote an insurance to add my brother to the policy and the assistant did not force him to add him to the policy since I was only quoting how much the insurance could get, she took care of me very badly. I asked to talk to the manager he denied me to be able to talk to him and just before she closed the call because he closed me, without my authorization he said that he would add it to the policy anyway without my consent that’s what bothers me at all. I’m quoting another insurer, due to the poor attention of customer service via phone.

We have been an NJM customer for over 20 years. They’re great UNLESS you need to actually use the insurance you pay into. Our area was hit with a tornado the beginning of April, and after losing power for @ 24 hours, our washer, landscaping lights, ceiling fans, and heat no longer worked. NJM sent out their HVAC person, whom you’re not allowed to interact with, and then we received a report stating that our heat would not be covered because the damage was due to wear and tear even though it was running perfectly fine prior to the tornado and power outage. I would never recommend this company to anyone again.

We have been with njm for YEARS. Just found out that for the last two months we have had no car insurance because they dropped us from our policy because we didn’t renew. We never received any information regarding renewal. They won’t reinstate us or give us a new policy because it’s been too long. So after years of being a loyal customer and never missing a payment that’s how they thank us. Not for anything but you could have called one of the two numbers you have on file.

A tree fell on my vehicle as I was driving thank god I didn’t get hurt. I been with NJM for over 30 yrs. They did not total my vehicle out and now I have nothing but problems. On top of that my insurance continues to rise. This is my last year with them. HORRIBLE… NO LOYALTY TO LONG TIME CUSTOMERS. I HAVE NO TICKETS ACCIDENTS OR ANYTHING AND THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT YOU. THERE INTEGRITY AND LOYALTY HAS DIMINISHED LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!!

We have had them for years and love them. The are great with rebate checks too at the end of the year for safe driving. Only issue is LexNexis they use for credit check to base your premiums. My report is never right. It has wrong addresses, my accounts are completely different then the big 3 credit unions Equifax etc.. I called, emailed and wrote still no resolution. I just keep getting back my same erroneous report nothing changed even with proof. No reason for their actions either.

Been a customer for 36 years both auto and homeowners insurance. NJM was a great company. I just had a 550 yearly increase per year for a $600 fender scratch. NJM is charging me this increase for 3 years. They never surcharged in the past. The NJM adjuster was unable to contact for weeks and finally she was furnished with estimates from the owner of car I tapped for 600 and 700 dollars from two different auto body shops he chose. The adjuster assured me the damage was very minor and my rates would not be increased. Well she lied and my insurance went up $550. She also settled the claim. $2100 check the vehicle owner who only wanted $600 for the scratch. I will appeal this increase and will look for another auto and homeowner company if NJM allows this u warranted policy increase.

I honestly hated to see my rate go up every year but I kinda understand why car insurance isn't cheap. Like I totally get it now. I just totaled my first car, and NJM really took a lot of stress off my shoulders with handling the claim so efficiently. I still owed 13,000 & the payout amount was greater than. I'm so thankful for my outcome, totaling your car is one of the sadness things to experience and honestly the outcome eased a lot of my heartache. The claim was processed and finalized in 3 weeks ! I do plan on being insured with them again once I purchase a new car.

They don't quote auto insurance to seniors.I called them several times and gave them all my info on my vechicles. My age and other info and asked them for a quote. They said for them to quote they needed a letter from my current insurer AAA stated that I have current and continuous coverage. Most likely NJM will be higher in price than AAA. I have called my companies and no one can beat AAA but they all gave me a quote but not NJM after they new my age. Sounds like age which is 76 and is discrimination. I have excellent credit score and a clean driving record. No claims.Beware of NJM discrimination practices. Stay clear.

Great rates, clean environment, no smoking on premises friendly workers. I been with NJM for almost 40 years. They make you feel like family, great dividends at the end of the year (rebate) .

Funny how NJM responded to my post in a couple of Minutes . I assume Amy D is damage control as she has an answer for everything. Also the Njm's quote for 12 months was still 100 % hight than other insurance Co. I recommend reaching out to Farmers or Progressive There rates are more than fair and is there claims process as well.

NJM USED to be a great insurance company. I have no tickets or accidents. They charge me more based on one of the cars having a rebuilt title and they claim it is unsafe so they charge more. I talked to my mechanic about this and was advised that there is nothing wrong with the car that makes it unsafe, it has working air bags, etc. My rate keeps going up every year. NJM also uses credit report/score to determine rates, which was never done in the past. I have had my policy for many years and this is how they treat their loyal customers. Also, they got rid of the dividend check for Pennsylvania residents. I guess that's how they are paying for all the commercials. In any case, do yourself a favor and find a different insurance carrier.

You get what you pay for... so enjoy the rates, but don't expect anything good from it. When it comes down to the wire - you get NOTHING. Today, I found out they canceled my policy. It came with a big penalty from my bank. Because they purchased insurance for me instead at 6x the price! I didn't know any of this was going on. I found out that NJM made an error on my record, and stopped my billing. They made excuses that they sent me and the bank notices, but we didn't know. So I asked for help to fix it - and they said they could not. But it was their error!! I tell them it will cost me more than $1000 at the bank, and they said too bad... they did what they were supposed to (despite them being the cause) so tough luck to me!!I had a different issues a few years ago when they totaled a car we had (we don't really know why) and paid out less than we could buy the same car for. We ended up with a cheaper, less safe car for our daughter. But we let that go... and now this!I have been with this company for 30+ years... all my insurance, and my husband's business too. You would think that somewhere they could help. but no... So when you shop around, the price may be right. But you may not really get what you think you pay for... and they definitely don't do right by thier clients.

OMG! One of NJM's customers ran into the rear of my stationary car. I got an estimate from the only repair shop that I use (the dealership. My car is still under warranty.) The dealership estimate was $1,364.41. NJM's is $796.15! Obviously, I will take the driver to Small Claims Court.
