My furchild is very discerning when it comes to people. He hadn't had the best experience with a vet, and I am so thankful to have found West Orange Animal Hospital. He fell in love, at first sight, with the vet techs and Dr. Dick! He was comfortable lying on the floor with his head on the vet tech's lap. Dr. Dick was gentle informative, thorough and made sure my dog was comfortable with each step. WOAH clearly has a love for animals and a deep respect for the people who love their pets. They embue trust and confidence in the animals and thelir guardians.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Currently doing curbside service: visit is arranged via phone, you pull into parking lot, they come to your car to collect your pet(s), then include you in the visit via phone. We just brought our two skiddish cats there, and they held up pretty well.
Update 7/9/2024
Still friendly and fantastic. Back to normal in-person service/interactions.

I have been coming to this place for 30 years. They have taken care of several dogs and a love bird. When my bird was picking at himself, Dr. Perez made an Elizabethan collar out of X-ray film for him. Dr. Boone is just AWESOME! I’m grateful for their love and compassion.

My doggie has been cared for by West Orange Animal Hospital for the past 4 years. We had moved from California and we were referred to W.O.A.H by a friend after we had been to another vet in NJ. The other vet recommended a list of services that was going to total over $1500.00. My doggie was totally healthy and we were just going in for a routine check up so I went to WOAH to see what their suggestions were. They suggested a routine blood test and a rabies vaccine. Total for the visit was less than $200.00. Fast forward 4 years, my now 14 1/2 year old doggie is still very healthy. There are several doctors at WOAH and I have been pleased with who ever is available to see us. Each is patient and explains everything. We are moving back to California and will miss WOAH and their great care. Over the years I have referred several friends and everyone has been very happy with their care.

Had a minor emergency with one of my pets and it’s by appointment only. They don’t take emergency visits overall the receptionist was kind but if you have an emergency don’t bother to call as it’s by appointment only. No emergency services or walk ins…?

We switched to this vet as my dog got older and had more complex health conditions. The doctors are knowledgeable, caring, and personable! They're practical, patient-centric and are not pushy about scheduling additional procedures or tests that may not be necessary. Overall a wonderful practice. The only downside is that everyone else thinks so too, so it's virtually impossible to get an appointment on short notice!

The West Orange Animal Hospital was amazing. They greeted me and our pet, inquired about our issue , suggested a solution, and thank us for their service. The service and care this animal hospital provides is exceptional.
