Showed the clerk my qr code for a pre paid and she says whats is that? Scans it, then tells me to bring it to another location because they dont have internet. I decided to pay for the postage on the spot again to save me the trip, they cant take cards too. I walked away with my package. A visit to a Staten Island branch usually takes me under a minute.

They constantly deliver all of our mail on the block to the wrong place. I redeliver everyday like I’m a post man and that’s sad. I’m running a business and have scheduled packages picked up but they refuse to and claim it’s a postage reason which it wasn’t according to another post office. I had to keep rescheduling which made my deliveries late which is obviously bad for business as I was avoiding the facility due to covid. I literally watched this post woman NOT CHECK for my package to pick up, not check. For postage and when I said something to her to let her know I see her, she denied and fight with me. Rude with an attitude. No one is reading the address when they deliver either. Just dropping things off when the persons house is two blocks away. Limited staff or not, this isn’t acceptable and neither is the attitude. No one picks up the phone.

I had a horrific experience on Saturday morning 9/12/2020 about 11:39 am with the attending clerk. When I arrived there was a sign on the window: no debit or credit accepted. Only exact change and no money orders available. Needless to say that meant a trip to a second post office since I needed 3 letters posted via certified mailing. However because I had 2 large bags of tax returns pre-paid postage I decided I had to stay to drop them off. When it was my turn I carefully loaded about 15 tax returns into the glass partition l. The clerk grabbed the first return and indicated he could not process my return. Perplexed I asked him why not. He indicated it was stale dated? Still confused I advised him that these were prepaid and addressed to various states due on 9/15. He advised me that he could not accept them and I would need to stick them in a mailbox. I asked if he could simply transfer to a crate and have them mailed. They were heavy and I just needed them mailed. The previous evening I found out they were too thick to get through a mailbox. He insisted I needed to load them back into my bags and walk them across and a block and a half up the street to stick in a mailbox. Exhausted I didn’t protest and reloaded my returns. Needless to say after a 5 minute walk loaded w in excess of 50lbs of return I realized that all mailboxes only provide a narrow slot for inserting mail. A postal clerk should be well aware of this. A customer leaving the post office lot saw me struggling back to my car with the returns and inquired as to why did I still have the returns. Upon explaining he directed me to the main PO in Orange whenever I have real business to conduct. Upon arriving to the main PO the clerk took my returns , scanned them in and provided a receipt listing the cert numbers without any issue. She was a godsend. My issue isn’t with this PO so much as this particular AA male clerk, hence the specificity of my visit so there is no mistake. I’ve frequented this post office many times before and I’ve always been met with warm, friendly and very accommodating clerks (male, female and various ethnicities). This gentleman clearly was not interested in working on Saturday morning. As such I am compelled to give this rating to him on this day. I tried to give zero stars but 1 is the lowest.

I've had a package on it's way from the post office to my home (both in the same town) and it should not take weeks for it to show up after many failed attempts. There was no failed attempts, I work during the evening and USPS has showed up one time to leave a notice. After multiple reschedules to redeliver said package it still never showed up. USPS is a serious waste of time.
