During an unfortunate time in our lives my boys and I were living in hotels for about 7 months. We stayed here because the rooms were affordable compared to hotels around it. Their deposit is only $25 and usually refunded back to my card a few minutes after check out, where nearby hotels were asking for $250 and $300.The rooms are clean and updated with a refrigerator/microwave combo, 40 inch TV, heat/air conditioner. There's free parking and wifi. Walking distance from restaurants. They have free continental breakfast and free coffee/ tea all day. There's a small convenience store with an ATM near the front desk. They have a 24 hour gym. The room that wound up being our home for 5 months was perfect. It had a patio that led to a fenced in yard where pets or children can run and play. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal from the manager Kaigu (I know I'm speling it wrong), the front desk staff, the Cafe staff, to the cleaning crew. They were all pleasant and professional and treated my boys and I like family. The grounds are beautiful, it's the perfect place for a wedding, party, or any special event where you want the luxury without the price tag.Once they realized my situation, they made us feel welcomed. This place and their staff made a difficult time that much easier for my boys and I. I'll never forget the kindness they showed us. Now that we've finally found a home, we still consider the Wilshire Grand or home away from home. I'm so grateful to the staff. I'll never forget that in my time of need, you all shown me and my children that there are still good people in this world. Thank you.Walkability: Nearby burger King, pizza restaurants, ice cream shop.

I had an awful experience at this Hotel. We stayed for two nights and the staff at the front desk was rude and uncooperative. They charged me twice for my stay and the lady at the front desk wasn’t willing to listen to me. The breakfast buffet was also below average. Overall would not recommend this hotel.

I'm a journalist and last week I had to cover an event here.Food was served, but I was there to work. The wait staff asked me what dish I wanted and I politely declined, saying that I was vegan. They went out of their way to not only get me a completely vegan dish, but also brought out sliced fruit so I could have dessert too. That was very kind of them. It's a beautiful place and they had live music playing as you walked in. Bathrooms were very clean with plenty of full length mirrors.I didn't see the hotel rooms, so I can't comment on that, but what I did see -- and experience -- I really liked! The staff are what make this place!

Danielle Cito , a previous friend worked here with Frankie Rodriguez. My ex would stay here for free or by his grandmother SHARON SPEARMAN. One day I went to stay with my daughter to get away from home since it was giving me headaches and needed peace and the bed was bloody withpure. The manager this black man holding a child didn't seem to care or make things right. I called the police and my daughter had a scratch resulting from the fright. I have had hate crimes done to me at this city also by Patricia Stansfield, Katilyn Stansfield mother who worked at my nursing school Trinitas and dated my cousin Melissa Ramos husband Tremaine Mosley who was my ex Ricky taitt best friend as well as David Wayne over who assaulted me and left while I a moving vehicle and trained my cousin Diana ardon who I went to court with when she assaulted me after sleeping with my ex Ricky Taitt. I was never accepted in this city being I was from an immigrant family and had teachers from orange and west orange injustice me taking sides with their race including at Essex Caldwell. college west caldwell NJ who changed landscape recently.

Spent the weekend at the Wilshire - Donna at the front desk was so friendly, even when my jet lag kicked up a bit! Night security Zane very helpful when my card key didn't work - my only complaint was not having any streaming channels on the room TV. LOVED the latte machine!!

Mixed feelings: the hotel and room were nice. Breakfast included which is not automatic anymore. The service is not good, people, you are not professional. But worse, our family reserved a room as well and for two nights, they even got an email back from the hotel... when they checked in, they were informed that they cant find their reservation... surprising isnt it? Well the clerks were below any minimal expectation and did not resolve the issue. Even after showing them their email. Worse: they required an additinal payment for the room... unbelievable... our family did not have the choice, it was late and they have a baby. I would like to hear what you guys have to say about it, it was last week. We suspect you are overbooking. An hotel that has self respect should never ever treat customers like that. So be aware guys that any reservation you have with this hotel may come short. This is too bad as the hotel has, overall some qualities.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I booked through HotelTonight for my mom because there was an issue with her house and the pipes right before Thanksgiving. She's a nurse who worked a double shift and I wanted her to have a place to sleep and to properly shower while things are getting fixed. She contacted me that the hotel room did not have a working heater and the room was cold. I told her to contact the hotel to see if they could 1) get it fixed or 2) get her a new room. You know what this hotel said to her? "Sorry, but the person who fixes the heat is gone for the evening" and kept her in the same room. It was 1AM her time so she decided to bear with it and go to sleep in the COLD.I never write reviews when it comes to my personal experience even it's terrible, but when it comes to my family, I will never let a company get away with nonsense. I am so pissed that they couldn't do the bare minimum for my mom. Never again. Here's the attached photo with the broken heating/AC unit.

I recently stayed at the Wilshire for a business meeting. The experience was terrible to say the least. The person at the front desk was incapable of adjusting my reservation. The deadbolt on the door did not work so my safety was at risk. The electrical in the bathroom did not work and the battery in the remote was dead. I also saw another guest ask for a light bulb because one was burned out in his room. The front desk person said they did not have any replacement bulbs. On top of this, there is no restaurant. There is no way I'd ever risk staying at this hotel again.

This place is very nice but they need to upgrade their website and also need to train their staff because everyone there look confused. Me & my daughter try to book ,the website is not user friendly. I speed 30 minutes try book & site keep taking me some other site. Beside that my stay was very pleasant, area is 10 out of 10.
