South Mountain Reservation is a beautiful nature preserve and great place offering an escape and perfect location for a one-day trip. It features miles of scenic trails, including a great flat loop, with well-marked paths ranging from easy walks to more challenging, steep, and rocky hikes. Visitors enjoy peaceful waterfalls, lush forests, stunning overlooks, and beautiful, peaceful sceneries. The area provides fun activities like renting paddle boats for a relaxing time on the water. While bugs can be a bothersome menace, the preserve is excellent for seeing wildlife like birds and turtles. It is an absolute must-visit for exercise, photography, or a peaceful day outdoors, suitable for all ages.
Took a quick hike today. Will make it a part of my weekly stroll.

Really long hiking areas. They got a cool waterfall here. Can walk on the top of it also. Got in so many steps in. Some trials go pretty steep also. Came the day after a pretty big storm!!!! Trees fell everywhere.

Great place, great views, fun place to visit. We like renting the paddle boats for a relaxing time on the water. Everything here is reasonably priced and its great for all ages.
