This ShopRite has terrible service. I can’t ever come here without being profiled or watched while checking out. I’ve been questioned about if I’m stealing over the past few months of going here three different times and I’ve been coming to this ShopRite for years. Not sure what’s going on recently. When I’m checking out, employees get closer to myself and my family member as if we need to be monitored. Also treated very rudely when trying to check out with a family member while using the same cart in self check out. Totally understandable to be told “20 items or less” (I had under twenty items) but to be told “I don’t care” after explaining that they were separate purchases is not okay. Every time I come here it’s increasingly frustrating and unpleasant to check out.

This Shop Rite is nice because it has plenty of organic produce and plenty of plant based options. However, I purchased plant based cream cheese only to learn that it's expiring in three days. Please check dates on your items before selling them. I do not live in this area and am not coming back anytime soon to return rancid cream cheese. I'll just toss it in the garbage and count my loss, which isn't cheap when it comes to plant based. Also, I walked all over the ShopRite three times and couldn't find tofu; or anyone who could help me find it. Where are your helpers? The aisles could be labeled better because there were many other common things I couldn't find. After walking back and forth several times, I just gave up. It's large, but also over-crowded and apparently shoppers don't read labels because if you pause for a second, you're in the way of others and they get aggravated. Had it been less crowded, I would have been able to read labels and learned that the plant based cream cheese was expired.Shoppers need to learn to have patience with each other. And Shop Rite, please hire help to check expiration labels.

I found everything I needed and the nicest young people work there. They assisted me at the self check out and even complimented me on my shoes ! I love Jersey folks.

Quick question.I bought the wrong birthday card. I paid over $7 for it. I was not allowed to return it.I understand gift cards are nonrefundable but why greeting cards?

After bagging a whole cart of food (which I paid for) at West Orange ShopRite. A checkout cashier stood up and watched bag. It appears I now work there part-time and should be compensated! I am totally tired of watching cashiers watch me bag my own groceries! The worst!

This is my go to ShopRite. The location is great and in a shopping mall complex with many other store outlets. The staff at this location are super friendly and always eager to help me with any kind of assistance I request. If I ever need help with the ShopRite plus card they are always super helpful and will direct me to a solution almost every time. The check out lines are usually never long and you have the option to self check out or have an employee check you out. The store is always clean and re stocked at all times. I have yet to have an issue at this location. Do yourself a favor and shop here at least once and I promise you will soon be a frequent shopper at this location full time!

The outlet is well-maintained with courteous staff, offering an abundance of fresh products, although they tend to be pricier than Walmart. Additionally, ample parking is available.

I purchased items through Shoprite From Home today and not happy with my order. A worker thought it was okay to pick out bananas with many dark spots to give to a customer. I attempted to reach the Shoprite From Home manager but was unable to reach him or her. I got transferred twice but never reached the manager. On the 2nd time, someone picked up the call and put it on hold, then it was sent to a voicemail. I left a voicemail message and requested a call back. I will attempt again because this should not be happening. This is why I hesitate to order through Shoprite From Home and avoid it if at all possible. In the past, I have gotten items that were close to expiration or produce that was not in the best condition. I sometimes have specified on certain items (milk, bread, etc..) that the farthest expiration date should be chosen because otherwise I fear the shopper will not even look at the expiration dates. Going forward, I will limit or completely avoid Shoprite From Home. Workers should do their job properly which includes selecting the best items and checking expiration dates. Also Shoprite From Home staff at the West Orange location need to answer their phones. As far as the in-store experience, it is usually fine and not overly crowded. I prefer this location over East Orange, Newark or Livingston.

Overall a good store and clean inside. However the parking lot is always busy with vehicles in a way that can feel chaotic and the OUTSIDE of the store does NOT look as clean as it should. They could do with picking up trask more frequently, power washing the pavement and building exterior, as well as the shopping carts.

I love this Shoprite! Not only can you shop for food but they have a nutritionist to help you shop and create you meal plan. The sessions are virtual for the past several years so there is no excuse not to sign up. They also have a spot to with a recipe and the necessary items.
