I'm actually still in the parking lot while making this review.
So I decided to change Shoprite locations because the Shoprite in East Orange is terrible, ghetto, nasty, and just a overall bad shopping experience. I came here at West Orange at around 9:45pm.. I did that on purpose to avoid long lines and people ?
I'm about to check out and the manager Fabiola (sic) is ringing up a customer. I believe I saw her light on for Register 2 but I mistook it for register 1. Brain fog I guess.
Plus the manager was ringing up an actual customer so I assumed she wasn't closed yet.. So the manager is like "I'm closed" not in a friendly way. Jacqueline at Register 1 is like "you wanna come over here?" Um, no actually I didn't. I want to stay where I was but the cashier/manager was closing lol. So I swung around. Jacqueline starts scanning items and I'm like "are you going to ask if I have a shoprite card?" She says "you can put it in after" I said "no, I'd like to put it in now." So she did the prompt for me and I entered in my number. Miss Jacqueline clearly wanted to go home right after ringing me because she was rushing and scanned my items twice. I asked "did you scan it twice?" Silence. Then she says "it's voided." That wasn't the question and why did you wait 90 seconds to answer? ... At this point I'm looking for some professionalism here! I had to speak to the manager and explain to her this is my first time here and you two need to work on your customer service. If I wanted ghetto and rude attitudes, I would have stayed in EO. Or maybe if I was white I would get better treatment. Who knows. But at this point I'm going to avoid "certain" employees because this seems to be a problem no matter if you're in EO or WO. I'm tired of the bad customer service and the attitudes. Even when I told Jacqueline she was rude she gon say "I'm the best customer service here" umm... so why am I writing this review? Lmfao. The delusion. Black people, get it together please!

The French medley olives at the food court section is toooo salty. I think it needs to be reevaluated by management. I tried olives from Wholefoods and it’s not as salty.

This place has seen a huge decline within the last year....its has changed 100% for the worse...they dont mark things with clear instruction and there vegetable prices arethru the roof,never mind the meat prices....Ive decided to go elsewhere.

One of the most horrible stores when it comes to customer service! Fresh cut deli service has the most attitude people working. They do not want to help or have the patience! Also the cashiers have attitude and don't wear proper clothing for work. I see people in their Pj's or slippers. No care in professionalism or appearance. Never will I return.

Special shout out to Floral Manager, Stevania!!! I recently had a quick need for a large quantity of flowers for my work. Stevania worked with my budget and was able to supply me with several boxes of high quality flowers right before Mother’s Day. She and her team were highly knowledgable, professional and a pleasure to work with. The price was right too. Thanks Stevania!

Shoprite is Shoprite... You have to go. It's our neighborhood supermarket, gets very crowded and the staff does what they can to accommodate an extremely busy crowd! Keep it up guys!!

The employees at this store can use a little customer service training! Foul language and no communication skills is a major problem at this store. Otherwise it's a decent place to shop!
