Rooms: The rooms are well designed studios, with a kitchen as well.
The TV was not directly in front of the bed headboard in my room. Else, great room!
Walkability: Nope!
Food and drinks: No food and drinks and no room service.
The bar and restaurant opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights these days.
It is best suited for extended stays.

The stay started out with some confusion over our reservation due to a misspelling of my last name, which we were able to resolve. Several hours after we checked in, I was alerted via text from my bank that I had been billed for the 2 rooms which I had already paid for, when I reserved them through Booking.com. i was not informed of any billing issues when we checked in. I was asked to present my card for ' incidentals' which I have come to accept as general practice by many hotels. The hotel has a great location close to the wedding venue we were attending and the rooms were very nice as they should be for an Extended Stay facility. Unfortunately we won't be returning due to the lack of transparency over billing.

One of the best Residence Inns I’ve stayed in. (Have stayed in 15+). Well located on Prosect Ave., minutes from the station that takes you to NYC. Well appointed rooms, lovely double height lounge with the signature fireplace, excellent location for a walk in the morning, safe, secure, good burgers for evening snacks (Tho’ IMO a lousy breakfast- which is common to all Res Inns. I dislike eggs and meats for breakfast so pl moderate my comment to your taste). A plus from my point of view

Needs lots of work for the price, mediocre breakfast, bathroom only one sink, dangerous bathtub, as I fell due to no non-slip surface.

The Residence Inn by Marriott West Orange was all we could have hoped for when it came to planning our wedding block. Their manager, Monica, made the process extremely easy, was very communicative, even going out of her way to update us monthly on who and how many rooms were booked from the block. They left us kissing swan towels in our room for our wedding night, as well as Prosecco and even upgraded us to the honeymoon suite as part of the block for our wedding night, which was complementary for filling our block. The ambiance of the hotel is a well-decorated brick style and lent itself well to getting-ready photos. They even allowed us to drop off our welcome bags 4 days in advance. Overall, highly recommend whether you’re staying in West Orange as part of a wedding or not.

Michael, is an absolute gem! Visit from out of state with my family and we had issue with our bank due to the charge being out of state. It was extremely frustrating, however Michael was beyond helpful and patient. He was friendly, welcoming and kind. We will certainly be returning. Not only because the hotel is beautiful and relaxing, but because of his exemplary and Grade A service!
Rooms: Very clean, spacious and relaxing.
Safety: Very safe property and area.

This is a beautiful hotel that is a bit tucked away. Spacious, clean rooms, nice breakfast and the front desk staff were nice.

My home burned down Monday June 25th. I have been at this place since June 26th. Since I have checked in they have had cucumber and lemon water. Yesterday I came down 3 times in hopes of getting that so finally at night when David was at the front desk I asked him could I have two waters. He basically said no. Was absolutely rude and unwilling to assist. As an educator I have never felt so belittled, rejected and out of place. I then called the restoration company that put me here to call and ask for the water on my behalf because maybe he just did like me because I am black( many black men don’t like black woman because they hate their mother). So the woman from the restoration company called to hotel in her most professional voice and he didn’t even allow her to speak he basically told her to mind her business and hung up on her. David is rude, insensitive and lack communication skills to man the front desk. My insurance company is paying for me to stay here for about 6 months or however long it takes to get my home restored: However; today I am going downstairs to speak to management because why would I continue to stay in a place that allows David to use his authority to disrespect and belittle me. If David is allowed to continue to terrorize and taunt me without any consequences I will be be leaving this hotel and they will not be able to reap the benefits of having me here as a long term guest. Below is a picture of David. He refused to give me his last name.
Noteworthy details: David Need to be fired he lacks customer service and sensitivity.

The worst front desk experience in the history of hotel stays EVER. We were received by a fellow called Michael Gang, extremely hostile demeanor who addressed us with his hands in his pockets with an under tone that was shocking in this day and age. The manager Daniel tried by all means to rectify this unfortunate reception we’ve experienced and was so apologetic so am a bit conflicted about this review sadly. I will not return to this location again, would have rated 1 but because Daniel was apologetic had to rate it a 3.

This hotel still uses the old style room keys… was surprised, had to keep going back to the front desk because the card would get deactivated if out near a cell phone or other credit cards etc… service is also once every three days for the rooms…. Front desk staff were great though…

I stay here for business about every other month and each time I stay the property is declining with cleanliness and wear and tear. It's getting to the point that I am looking for a new place to stay for business. The owner needs ti invest in renovating the rooms this us not a Marriott standard location. Vert disappointed, don't want to even step in the tub or sit on the dirty sofa and will be requesting to change rooms.
Friendly staff
