“During an unfortunate time in our lives my boys and I were living in hotels for about 7 months. We stayed here because the rooms were affordable compared to hotels around it. Their deposit is only $25 and usually refunded back to my card a few minutes after check out, where nearby hotels were asking for $250 and $300.The rooms are clean and updated with a refrigerator/microwave combo, 40 inch TV, heat/air conditioner. There's free parking and wifi. Walking distance from restaurants. They have free continental breakfast and free coffee/ tea all day. There's a small convenience store with an ATM near the front desk. They have a 24 hour gym. The room that wound up being our home for 5 months was perfect. It had a patio that led to a fenced in yard where pets or children can run and play. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal from the manager Kaigu (I know I'm speling it wrong), the front desk staff, the Cafe staff, to the cleaning crew. They were all pleasant and professional and treated my boys and I like family. The grounds are beautiful, it's the perfect place for a wedding, party, or any special event where you want the luxury without the price tag.Once they realized my situation, they made us feel welcomed. This place and their staff made a difficult time that much easier for my boys and I. I'll never forget the kindness they showed us. Now that we've finally found a home, we still consider the Wilshire Grand or home away from home. I'm so grateful to the staff. I'll never forget that in my time of need, you all shown me and my children that there are still good people in this world. “Good Morning! I have spoken with the staff at both Fairfield and Fanwood locations, however I am hoping my words manage to reach the Parkers. My dog Ben was staying at the Fairfield location when my worst nightmare as a pet parent was unraveling. I am traveling for work and am across the country, not set to return until later in the week. Outside of the heroism of the first responders, humane society and good samaritans, I cannot say enough about K9 resort's personnel as well as policy/procedures in place. Friends and family always inquire why I opt to pay to board Ben while I travel. This incident answered that inquiry in and of itself. Your emergency plan went into effect and was implemented with the outcome we all desire for live saving events. So not only do I know my Ben will be happy,loved and well cared for while staying at the facility, he will be rescued should an emergency erupt, which in this scenario seemed to be unpredictable and to no fault of anyone. After hearing that my Ben was ok and survived, the care did not stop there. Being a panic stricken fur mom from thousands of miles away, the staff could not have been more understanding and patient with my calls, questions and emails. They were so kind and reassuring with the ability to answer every single question I had while tears in my eyes on the other end of the phone trying to keep my composure. I applaud you as the leaders of this corporation for instilling this professionalism and compassion down your hierarchy. I sent pastries to the Fairfield PD, as well as the Fanwood location and made a donation to Fairfield Fire. Please reach out to me if I can do anything from here forward to honor the K9 personnel from that night and who continue to treat my boy, as well as me, as if they know how much my dog means to me. Also should there be any recognition in time for the first responders, I would love to to be able to attend. As well as the reopening for Fairfield. While the accommodations themselves were in line with what one would typically expect from a Best Western, it was the unparalleled service that truly set this experience apart. “When you first walk into the lobby of the hotel you are greeted by beautiful marble! I can not get over how absolutely stunning this place is. The sleeping rooms are newly renovated as well and beautiful! We dined in the restaurant for dinner and were greeted by the very friendly manager who sat us and told us all about the specials that night. I highly recommend dining in the restaurant the food was absolutely delicious and you cannot pass up desserts made by Calandra’s Bakery!!! We will definitely be back!”

“I so much enjoyed my stay here! The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. The lobby decor was exceptionally welcoming, with a generous breakfast area and a living-room style seating area with a large-screen TV. The lobby offered a complimentary reception every evening. The location is quiet and the hotel is pet-friendly. The room was lovely and offered a full-sized fridge and dishwasher plus a small stove and sink. The beds were very comfy; sleeping well is a great part of any getaway. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, and had gluten-free offerings for those who need them. My son lives in Newark, and I look forward to returning to this location often.”

“Stayed for a quick overnight before flying out. Obviously location was perfect, the staff service was excellent, on site restaurant (opted for room service) was delicious. The ability to order through the Bonvoy app was lovely.Rooms: The suites are large and well appointed with the best views. The mini-fridge seemed a bit out of place, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the room.”

“Needed someplace to stay between Morristown, Cranford, and Livingston. Found Turkey Hill Inn online and my son said the town of Summit was very nice. The room is very large and clean. It's a 130 year old house and so didn't expect it to be modern but it was very comfortable with lots of charm and a short walk to dozens of places to eat and the train into NYC”

“This is the place to stay at if you are coming into town for an event. Walkable from Penn Station and walkable to the Prudential Ctr. The interior is very modern and renovated it seems like. This is also the first hotel in a long time that had the best pillows to sleep on, not flimsy and had some firmness to them. The reason for no 5 stars is due to friendliness of front desk staff - an older gentlemen was not welcoming at all in terms of friendliness and seemed irritated.The other reason for the point is housekeeping ignored do not disturb signs early in the morning and disrupted my rest.”

“Wonderful historic yet modern refurbished hotel in the Short Hills area.. bar and restaurant is a highlight… lots of big businesses and offices close by.. must visit if one is in this zip code for comfy staying at a hotel.. bartenders are genuinely friendly and very helpful in deciding on drinks / food to eat… highly recommend and would love to come back if I’m here again.”

“Stayed here for a work trip. I was greeted warmly at check-in. There was some weird card processing from the third party service I used, and the desk staff was able to figure it out and explain to me that my room was pre-paid through the third party site my employer uses. My room had a slightly dusty floor, based on what I saw on my socks when I took them off, but everything else was spotless, especially the bathroom, which is most important to me. My shower had great water pressure and more than enough hot water, so bonus points there! The door stuck as another Yelper noted, but I could easily shut it completely with minimal effort, so not an issue for me at all. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided in the shower stall, and facial soap bar, lotion, and mouthwash, which was more bonus points, as I've never seen this provided and I don't like to bottle my own and seal it to bring when I travel! Big screen TV with HBO is in the room, and my king bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There were plush bath robes for my use in the closet, but I didn't use them. They were also for sale at front desk. Free breakfast is included, which is in a very nice dining room in the lower level. Breads, cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices, yogurt, bottled water, and hot food items are provided. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, and potato wedges on my visit. There was also a waflle iron available, and there was an attendant ensuring everything was kept up and food replenished. There is an on-site restaurabt and bar called Moe's, where colleagues and I had a beer and dinner the night before. I didn't take photos, but I enjoyed grilled shrimp with polenta cakes with a mushroom sauce. Service was good. The dining room and bar were dark with dark colors, so maybe an update with lighter colors and better lighting would add some life and a better atmosphere. Overall, I was very happy with my stay, and I thought it was a great value! I would stay here again and recommend it.”

Luv walking in and seeing the room cleaned! There’s no rushing you out the door at 10:59am! No Housekeeping standing by the door. The Crowne Plaza is definitely superior to the majority of local hotels. Even if costs a few dollars more I’d recommend going here over any other local hotel. Keep up the good work and keep smiling! “When I read the reviews, I was mixed but it was still a Hampton Inn. Ultimately, without too much surprise, it is a hotel that meets the expectations of a Hampton Inn. It was clean with very comfortable beds, with a large, larger than average standard room. It was also well decorated with a large comfortable dining room and the lunch was good! The only thing missing from this hotel is a swimming pool”

“You really can't beat the price for the location- Westfield is such a lovely hidden gem of a town with so many local stores and fun spots to walk to and this is smack in the middle, with free parking around the back. The price is very reasonable for the accommodation and amenities. The rooms look like they were just renovated yesterday with new furnishings and finishings, but I agree the floors are creaky. Comfortable beds and plenty of pillows, with a cordless phone charger on the desk as a nice modern touch. However there were only plugs/usbs on one of the nightstands which seemed a bizarre oversight. The bath was fine, more wear showing and the water can take awhile to get hot. The hot breakfast is as basic as you can make- eggs with cheese, sausage, bacon, undercooked and unseasoned potatoes, bread, cereals, waffles, a small bowl of fruit toppings that go fast. There are plenty of condiments to help out the flavor and a microwave but the fruit cups were months out of date. So keep expectations very basic for breakfast. I would absolutely come for a stay again just for the convenience of Westfield. The service and reception people seem to see guests as things to work around and manage in between their jobs but it didn't impact beyond that.”

“The room was good, very comfortable. Because this was a quick trip, with early flights, we needed to stay close to the airport. So the location was great for that. It was also very easy to Uber into the city.What absolutely impressed me was the service of every single employee spoke with. “NEW UPDATE, there has been some changes, but they need to update the rooms with the kitchenettes in them, get larger dish soaps, also found out that they they had a trash can from Best Western which is not there's per say, they also upgraded the breakfast so that's a plus, overall, it's a good hotel, just upgrade some of the rooms..”
