I met the owner outside his store- the store was closed-.he asked what I needed. I was looking for a small hard to find coupler - for a power washer. The owner opened his store like Ike’s for the coupler and gave it to me - at no cost- said for me to bring back the power washer hose - if the one he gave me was not the correct fitting.He was great. I would highly recommend East Coast - superb customer service and highly ethical

I purchased two fireplaces from East Coast Fireplace 10-years ago. Because I built my own home, I wasn’t ready for them to do the complete installation at the time of purchase, and ended up doing most of the installation myself. Ten years later, I finally finished my home and wanted the company to come out perform a general inspection of my work and start them up for me. The sales people were outstanding, kind and very helpful. The service call was super prompt. I had a difference of opinion with the amount of the service charge. I explained that to the service manager, and he quickly responded with a very satisfactory resolution, cutting the bill by more than half. This is very important when you consider the trustworthiness of a company. They could have said, it is what it is, but they were very honest and fair about it and did the right thing. Seemingly that has become a rarity these days. I highly recommend anyone to do business with them. I know I feel very comfortable recommending them to friends.

Went in looking for a fire pit part. They could care less, no one with any knowledge even came out to talk to me. Girl at the desk told me we can't help you. This is why people shop on line. Save yourself a trip these people don't want your business.

Horrible customer service. Waited 20 minutes in store before finding someone to help me. Then found someone and they said the salesman is with someone. Guess they did not need my business. Will never go back to this store!

PLEASE READ: IF THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR....I WOULD OF USED IT. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. I HAD A GAS FIREPLACE INSTALLED BY SOMEONE ELSE AFTER HURRICANE SANDY. IT STOPPED WORKING RIGHT BEFORE COVID. I DECIDED TO USE EAST COAST FOR SERVICE SINCE IVE ALWAYS HEARD GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT COULDNT BE FIXED 9AND NOW I WONDER IF I WAS RIPPED OFF) THAT I HAD TO INSTALL A WHOLE NEW UNIT WHICH TOTALED IN COST $613.00 AND WAS COMPLETED IN 8/7/20. 7 MONTHS LATER 4/20/21...IT STARTS BEEPING.....THEY COME OUT AND SAID IT NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. OK FINE. 2 MONTHS LATER 6/26/21 IT STARTS BEEPING AGAIN ...IN A HEAT WAVE AND THE FIREPLACE HASNT EVEN BEEN USED! AND THEY SAY THEY DONT HAVE A SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND I HAVE TO CALL SOMEONE ELSE.THERE IS NO POINT IN BUYING FROM HERE IF THEY DONT SERVICE OR STAND BY THEIR WORK. PERIOD. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

East Coast Energy Products will not service what they sell. I recommend that you DO NOT purchase a fireplace from them. I purchased a new Valor gas fireplace from ECEP in 2017. Scheduling any maintenance service with them has always been difficult. They have always had poor customer service. But today they reached a new low. The radio receiver in my fireplace needs to be repaired or replaced. I can turn the fireplace on, but I can't turn it off. Today I was told that ECEP no longer services fireplaces. They were unable to recommend to me another dealer who does service my fireplace. They actually suggested I use Google. I asked them whether they have stopped selling new gas fireplaces (which I believe is one of the main lines of business), and they said they still actively sell new units. But they stated that they won't service them after the warranty period has expired. Clearly a major appliance like a gas fireplace is meant to last longer than its warranty period. That is why a careful homeowner will maintain and service their investments. ECEP is simply non reputable.

I have been a customer for many years and while disappointed that they are not currently doing the servicing of fireplaces that they did previously, the owner, Chuck, has reached out to me personally to explain the situation and offered to address my fireplace issue.

Be careful. I've been waiting 4 months for these people to fix the fireplace they installed that never worked from the beginning. I gave them a deposit on parts that I shouldn't have even paid for and now nobody will return my phone calls. "Randy" was rude and short with me when he did return a phone call. The "owner" mysteriously doesn't exist. Only do business with them if you feel like being stressed and robbed of your money.

Waited a few weeks for service, understandable with Covid. Worth the wait. The service techs were very polite and made sure everything was clean, no mess.I highly recommend EastCoast energy for a gas fire place installation and or service.
