My belongings were damaged during the rain with mold. Found mice feces and no one did anything or gave me a refund stayed with them for two years and paid almost 3k but they said they couldn't do anything. Instead asking me to pay the extra month when I couldn't take my damaged stuff while waiting for their resolution. No worst and poor quality customer service seen worst than in this place.

This place is one of the most affordable self-storage facilities in West Long Branch, NJ. There are wheelchair accessible entrances and parking spaces available. Its only downside is that there are no bathrooms available for their customers, so plan accordingly.

Please do not use them. Management awful. The storage facility is terrible for the price .. Changed their name to Super Self Storage Management not courteous and will threaten you verbally.. please do not use them,,,,I will never use them again .... Terrible terrrible

Poor customer service! The African American woman there is rude, obnoxious, unprofessional, loud and extremely lazy.I asked her for help in finding my storage unit and she rolled her eyes and reprimanded me. she constantly complains when you ask her for help.They like to take your money from you and after that they treat you terribly.They add on a very high late fee! I was told last minute my things were going to be sold off, I arrived right after they made the sale with the money and they didn’t wait!All of my belongings from my entire life, including pictures of my deceased parents and their ashes all GONE! For $600!The guy that bought my belongings was in front of the cashier paying and the African American woman didn’t even tell me!She had no sympathy! I wish I never stored my belongings here!

They are a very clean facility. Their rates are comparable but that 1st month 50% off has a lot of add on fees, you'll save very little when you add up 2 months as compared to other places. They insist on $10/mth insurance & they sell YOU the lock & key - you cannot buy your own. The $20 admin fee added to the 1st month is too high imo. Positives: it is a big location, clean

Rented here for 4 years and this is a warning for those who looking to rent from a storage facility. A. The place is NEVER cleaned. . I've never seen anyone push a broom or any kind of cleaning here here... ever. As a matter of fact I've seen the same piece of broken glass inside the building for 7 months. Nobody in the office seems to care about the facility at all. B. It takes a miracle for anything to get fixed. The door to building E has been broken for three years and the staff just ignores it, even when it was brought to their attention. It's a problem when you have to chase wildlife out of the building. C. They allow homeless people to rent there. I've been asked for money and rides more than once. In November of 2018 I was assaulted by a homeless man when he tried to rob me. I didn't bother telling the staff because they simply don't care. D. The staff take no responsibility for when they make mistakes. Due to a payment screw-up (that was my fault) they placed an exterior lock on my unity. However when the payment issue was resolved they neglected to remove the lock. So the following day when I went to open the unit to get the necessary equipment for work I couldn't in. As a result I ended up losing over $1500 in business. When I approached the manager about the issue he basically told me that it "was not his problem". E. The manager is openly hostile. He has threatened me on at least three occasions and his attitude toward tenants is a combination of apathy and hostility. Do yourself a favor and don't rent from American Self Storage.
