Today we decided to take our dogs to the local day camp/dog boarding. The moment we walked in the door the staff was was extremely rude and unwelcoming. The employee from behind the desk immediately gripped up my boy Brody and proceeded to drag him into the dog day camp area. It appeared looking in that all the dogs were sitting in cages. I tried to calm my boy down, I have never seen or heard him cry, yelp and beg for us not to leave him behind; Brody had been to this local camp a year prior. First of all, we not only were paying for the 4 hours of day camp for both dogs but also $250 for both dogs to get groomed later that day. After my daughter and I started to pull away, feeling so unsettled, we immediately turned back and pick up my dogs. I'm so upset and feel my dog was trying to warn us this was not the place for them

I am normally never one to leave bad reviews about companies, but after the service I experienced this morning I must share for others to keep their animals protected as well. I have worked with pets for many years of my life and I was absolutely appalled at the way both of my golden retriever pups were treated today. As soon as we walked in the door the front desk ladies didn't speak a word to me. Didn't ask for my dogs names, didn't come over to greet my dogs, it was almost like I was inconveniencing them for the services I booked for both my pups. My one male dog Brody will be 4 years old in May, he has gone many many places and loves people and other dogs, but the minute he stepped inside Best Friends Pet Hotel it was like he was in jail. They take the dogs and throw them into kennels before they allow them to play at camp. Brody was fighting so hard to not go back and the one extremely arrogant employee just kept ripping his neck and dragging him across the floor. Brody jumped up on the glass and just started scratching the glass, whining, staring at me as if he was telling me (help please don't leave me in this hell hole). I banged on the door and said "you will not grip and drag my dog like that ever." She shut the door and I asked for my other dog to be brought out of the kennel. Brody was sitting on my aunt and my lap just whining in pure fear and terror. It took them over 5 minutes to grab my other dog Basil from the kennel and when an employee walked out of the back she said to another employee "where is the dog?" What do you mean where is my dog??? At that point I had it. They were suppose to be groomed after camp, but the way not only my dogs were treated, but myself was absolutely appalling and disgusting. It felt like I was dropping both of my dogs off at the SPCA. Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I will NEVER EVER EVER be returning back to Best Friends Pet Hotel AGAIN!!!! I hope this helps anyone out before they decide to drop their dogs off to be treated like absolute garbage. I felt so bad for all the other poor dogs just stuck sitting in kennels. WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!! If I could post this review without giving them any stars I would have, but unfortunately you can't post a review without leaving at least one star. They don't even deserve this one star so it's sad I have to give it to them to post this.

Rocco can’t wait to go to “school”! He jumps out of the car and runs inside. He’s a happy day camper and comes home tired. Also Amy does a great job on his nails!

We use BF’s for boarding and grooming. I’m so glad we found them. They take amazing care of our dogs and their grooming services are wonderful. Very highly recommended

I worked here. Daycare part of it is fine but don't board your dogs here. There was some days where there wouldn't even be enough time to take every single dog out for a potty break. Small dogs were the least priority if not all dogs could be taken out since "they make less of a mess". They would literally just have to sit in their cages all day and night and be forced to use the bathroom in their cage until the employees got around to cleaning it. The potty breaks themselves are extremely short (not even a minute long on busy days), dogs were only taken to the backyard (tried to aim for once a day, twice a day MAX) which is a very small fenced in area. We're never actually "playing" with your dog here so it's a waste of money to pay extra for that. Also if you pay for an extra treat or something, they will definitely skip that if there's not enough time that day. Don't waste your money here, they don't truly care about the animals.

My wife and I went to pick up our dog and when we got her she smelled absolutely horrible- as if she rolled in something dead. The place it self also smelled awful when we dropped her off.

When vacationing, I prefer to take my dogs with me. However, when my best friends cannot join me on vacation, I choose Best Friends. I have 4 dogs. I will not say they love going, because they would much rather be with me. However, we have been using this facility for, at least, 15 years; and, when my besties have had to spend a few nights at Best Friends, we always had a pawsitive experience.

It was my first time visiting to get my pups nails trimmed by Amy...Excellent experience! Nice clean facility. Great customer service! We will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff. Kuma is well taken care of when he stays overnite for play and stay camp. He is a rescue dog who is weary of strangers, they handle him with expertise.

I gave this place one too many try’s. I will NEVER EVER go back!! About 6 months ago my HEALTHY 2.5yr Dutch Shepherd was groomed there. 2-3days later was sick, we took him to urgent care and after blood work found out he had a blood infection. On multiple medications for the infection. Not eating or drinking, laying around all day long and in extreme pain. Fast forward 6 months later, we had to board him for 2 nights(went against my better judgment). And now 2 days later (today) we had to rush him back to urgent care. He has ANOTHER blood infection. My shepherd is healthy, young and was only ever sick these times coming back from best friends. I’m not sure what or how they clean (if they even do) but something there gave my dog an infection twice.

Very clean kernels. I was able to board both of my dogs together in a suite. I'm not sure that my dog received all of the medication I sent with her, despite giving detailed instructions and peanut butter to put the pills inside.

My dogs favorite place!! lol, I think it’s mine!! I’ve been getting my dog groomed here for over 12 years now with the same groomer!! I love Erin and so does ,”Gracie!.” Great service, very clean. I’ve never had any complaints.

3 times in a row my dog has gotten sick after leaving this location. 2 stars only because I have never had a problem with the staff. will strongly consider other options due to the most recent vet visit.

Best Friends is fantastic for boarding and grooming. We have been taking our dog here for most of his life for both and the staff is wonderful. Chrissy specifically is awesome! If not for her I do not know how we would get our dog groomed (because he is "special"). I can only speak for the Best Friends in West Berlin, NJ, but I highly recommend them to anyone with a dog (and most likely a cat too).

We boarded our cat, Winnie with Best Friends Pet Hotel for 11 days. I was able to call and check in on her, and I have no doubt that she was well taken care of.
