Horribly poor customer service! If you never need to speak to anyone at the bank, you're fine. Otherwise, it's 40min waiting on the phone, being passed from hold to hold. Ridiculous waste of time.

IMPOSSIBLE to get InTouch with anybody in customer service regarding my mortgage. 2 phones going at once, for OVER 1 hour no one picks up.This is NO WAY to do Business.I suggest you look elsewhere and DON'T do business with Valley National Bank!!!!

The manager there Shalonda Christmas is absolutely ridiculous. Has no sympathy for your situation. Very rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BANKING AT VALLEY.

Absolutely awful attitudes at this branch. They refused to cash a check drawn from them without having an account there. Not even a third party check! Then was told it would take over a week to process if an account was opened! Good luck getting customers like that.

I worked for them for 13 months before I escaped. I couldn't figure out at first what the problem was. I have 36 years of banking experience. There was really fault on both ends. A month in my employment I realized that this was a mistake. The people resented me as an outsider coming in as a different ethnic group than they were...stabbing me behind my back at every little corner...repeating my frustrations to upper management and upper management telling me I was to keep my mouth shut. One woman had at times had a significant hygiene problem and I was too fearful to say anything as I would have been labeled a bigot. She also had a significant weight problem which may have contributed to it and habitually being late and nothing was said to her in regards to it. I was always on time and yet I had to wait till a second person showed up...badly managed bank in total.

I bank at the branch on Valley road in Wayne. The entire staff is warm. professional and helpful. I took off one star because of their coin machine charges for customers. Other than that, banking there is always a pleasant experience.
