They cared for my previous pet and I took my new dog there. This business has been sold and it is not the same. Prices went up so much and the one doctor didn't even look at my dogs teeth during her exam. If you love your pet ..DON'T go to them. SERIOUSLY.

Dr. Chiu was great. We are from out of town and brought our pup in because he was limping after a hike. He's typically a little nervous around new people but warmed up to her immediately. She did a full exam, knew all about his genetic condition (our current vet had never heard of it) and even made recommendations about future care in addition to taking care of his paw. We were so impressed by her -- I'm super disappointed she can't be our regular vet.

Besides the wonderful staff, Dr. Chiu spent a lot of time explaining, discussing, and helping make decisions. Her compassion for both my dog and me were very much appreciated, and her love of animals was obvious.

I've been taking my cats here for a few years, and the doctors and staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. My one cat is very scared at the vet, but everyone is very understanding and kind. Plus, their hours are very accomadating.

They are the best. Simply put easy to get appointments for a Dr or technician.
Great people who care. Very reasonable prices.

Exactly a year ago, I took my dog Frida to North Jersey Animal Hospital in Wayne, New Jersey, for a check-up due to a slight discharge. I mentioned my suspicion that she might be pregnant, but the doctors were adamant that she had a uterine infection. Trusting their expertise, I followed their advice. However, just moments later, I received a call informing me that Frida was not infected, but pregnant - without any consultation or opportunity for me to make an informed decision. They proceeded to perform a surgery that removed her uterus, puppies, and ovaries. When I went to pick her up, the staff showed no remorse, stating that they would do it all over again if given the chance. This callous response broke my heart. To make matters worse, they failed to follow up on Frida's recovery or even remove her stitches, forcing me to seek care from a different veterinarian.
I'm sharing this experience because, even now, I'm still troubled by the memory of it, and I want to ensure that others don't fall victim to the same negligence. Despite the traumatic experience, I was still charged nearly $3000 for the unnecessary surgery. I want to warn others to do their due diligence, seek multiple opinions, and beware of vets who prioritize profits over animal welfare. Don't make the same mistake I did. Take the time to research and find a trustworthy veterinarian who truly cares about your pet's well-being, not just their bottom line.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. If you care for your animal please read this and please read it all. Since he was very little I have taken my neatherland dwarf rabbit to this clinic for a checking. Every single conclusion from the doctor was that his oral hygiene was okay (my bunny slubbered), nose is okay (he constantly sneezed), his heart and lungs sounds okay (his lungs did not sound okay and it later on turned out he had pneumonia), his ears were okay (he had an ear infection). Yet yesterday (April 29) I had to euthanize him due to multiple complications that had no remedy. Issues that could have been cured had the doctor done their job correctly and taken the proper measure to diagnose him instead of prescribing expensive medicine without the proper explanation as to why. I do not know how well they care for other pets but please PLEASE do NOT take them here if you have a rabbit. When I euthenized him I had gone to Oradell instead as I did not want to come to this animal hospital anymore and I had failed to go to Oradell before because they had made it known to me that they did not specialized in exotic pets, which they later on stated that they infact did. Amongst other incidents that were more personal, I should have taken my bunny to another savvy vet instead of here at the North Jersey Animal Hospital with doctor Mark Riedel. If you do not wish to see your beloved fur baby in the same conditions as my bunny was subjected to then please take them elsewhere. I wish you the best with your fur babies.

I found the process at North Jersey Animal hospital to be very thorough. I was reminded of my pet's appointment via both phone and email. My dog was having a tooth extraction procedure that required advance planning, and the instructions were well-communicated. When I arrived at the animal hospital, the surroundings were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I was able to drop my dog off within 10 minutes of my arrival and the vet techs were very sweet with her when they took her back to the surgery area (she was very scared, but they picked her up and soothed her). Pick up went just as swiftly and the staff came out to explain exactly what I needed to do in order to care for my dog after her procedure. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate vet.

Just very pricey. Never get discounts. That's the only thing. But really nice staff. They are knowledgeable and help your pet get the help they need.
