Terrible service. Sunday crew is completely clueless about any product knowledge or current GameStop promotions. Walked in and one of the works there were sitting there playing on there Nintendo switch. I see why game stop is in the toilet. I’m going to stick to buying game digitally. What a joke

Been going to this game stop for over 10 years, Bought a new controller and put the protection plan on it. Fast forward it has drift stick. I bring the controller with the box back to the store only for them to give me a used broke controller and pay protection again. The new controllers b button doesn’t work after few days, I explain it to the exact person who sold it to me and promised me they are refurbished and work. he refuses to give me a my money back or give me a new controller which is the right thing to do. He said he’s the manager but didn’t seem like it, he lets multiple customers walk out the store after completely ignoring them. And also lies to customers faces then plays victim when he gets caught. I will never be going to a game stop again and it’s sad because now I have to buy gaming stuff off Amazon and not support local businesses. ?

I came in here to trade in a game and buy a new one. When I went to trade in the game, the amount of services they try to push in you is insane, a little overwhelming, you can tell GameStop is trying to stay afloat anyway possible. The staff here is VERY awkward, somewhat friendly but extremely awkward. They issued me a gift card and then watched me struggle to swipe it to redeem it and then said take off the sticky part so you don't ruin our machine. not necessarily rude but again really awkward when you don't try to help....i won't go back to this location because this experience just turned me off to GameStop in general

My son received a gift card for Christmas. He was so excited and purchased thumb grips for the Xbox controllers. They broke within a few days. I wasn't able to make it back right away, but I assumed it was within a few weeks, it would be okay. We went to return it and the gentleman asked if I had a protection plan on it. Why would I spend more money on a protection plan for $9.99 thumb grips? I can understand a $50 game. I said no. They would not return or exchange it because of that even though I had the receipt. They made me purchase another pair. When we checked out, we inquired about the protection plan and he said that one didn't come with any. It was the same thing. Gamestop brand thumb grips. The young workers there have no respect for customers. I hesitated on writing this review, but this is not the first time we have been disrespected at this Gamestop location. I have had good experiences at other Gamestops. Another Gamestop actually returned the thumb grips for me.

Unfortunately this is my closest game stop location. Used to always be a pleasant experience but over the last 6 months or so I have been having constant issues every time I’m in the store. Trade ins are rarely accepted just due to the employees not wanting to do the work involved where other locations happily made it happen. Management is lazy and always has an attitude . Nevermind their need to explain away why you cant do the job they are paid for.Don’t bother trying to use points on your paid for account because it’s too much to click an extra button. Go to Willowbrook!!!!!

Horrible Experience. I called 5 times in a row from my phone. No anwser. I called 5 times from my mom’s phone, No anwser. I go to the store. Thankfully they had my game in stock. I walked up to the guy and he asked me if I wanted insurance. I kindly said “No thanks, I’ll be careful with it”. He continues to beg me to get it. I keep on saying no and I pay. As I walk out of the store, I checked the tag. AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE INSURANCE. I DIDNT WANT THIS. Is your business really that bad to the point where you have to beg your customers for money. Overall HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE‼️‼️

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Do not shop at Gamestop Waynechester Plaza. I bought a present for my godson for pickup by his mother, with all the correct pickup information entered. After driving 30 minutes they were met by Jay unforntunately where they were flat out told the pickup name was the same as the buyers, and not theirs. They called me and I told Jay I entered the correct pickup name and there must be an error in their system. Rather than saying he would look into, Jay said he would cancel my order. I told him, I would send a photo which clearly showed I entered the correct pickup name and not to cancel the order. After I sent this screenshot, I called back to find that Jay cancelled my order, even though I told him him not to cancel the order. I need this investigated, your system repaired and Jay retrained or fired.

Appalling conduct from employee night of 10/14/2023. He begged me to insure my games then lied over and over saying he has a "system shutdown" to get me and others out of the store to get one over on me.When ringing me up he asked if I wanted disc insurance, I said no. He said it would help me out because it's discounted right now, I said no. He then pleaded and said to me "It would help me out", I said no I'm good. Employee begging me for money, are you kidding me? I come back later because the deals were ending that night. Not many people in the store, same guy there. He notices me, says "welcome back". Two minutes in he announces to the store he has a "system shutdown" computers are down and he can't make transactions. People inside the store said they'll look around and seemed to want to wait it out, I stayed too. He insists people leave, saying many stores are down at the moment but a mall store nearby is functioning. I contact a few nearby stores and nobody has a system shutdown, this fraud is lying. A few minutes later, I call his store twice and ask if I go there before close can I purchase a game that I want? The store is almost closed at this point. He says that's fine. I call him one last time and I tell him I'm the guy he announced the "system shutdown" to and was wondering if the system is back up and if I can come back to the store. He says the system is still down and I should try Monday. I called him out on his lies and he continued to lie, saying he only told the other callers (me) that he stocked the games, not that they can buy them. I told him he shouldn't be treating customers this way and his shameless conduct is not worth it. His response word for word: "this conversation has no bearing on me, can I help you with anything else otherwise I could be restocking right now". This employee should be fired. He got upset after I declined his cringe begging and he decided to take it out on me by wasting me a drive to the store and kicked multiple people out of the store as well.

Still one of the real GameStops out there. For over a decade, this place has always had the most knowledgeable and helpful staff. Go here for the old school GameStop experience
