Second time in a row I stopped here during a weekend only to find the store was closed for an hour in the afternoon. Maybe this is meant more for corporate than for this location, but if the store has to close during the day, either spend more money and hire more staff, or shut it down and get it over with.

when i am actually able to shop i enjoy going here. it is almost everytime i come they are somehow not in the store?? how can you post a sign that says “6:45-7:45 sorry we had to step away” WHEN YOU CLOSE AT 8?? not to mention the signs are usually still up and store is still closed past or before those times. it wouldn’t be an issue if maybe it was a once in a while thing, i have attempted to come on saturdays multiple times in the past few months and there is almost always just one employee or the store is inexplicably closed during business hours?!? how is this any bit acceptable??? you’re better off going to level 1 games just down the road. they have consistent and accurate hours. plus i’m never waiting on one employee who sometimes isn’t even in the store and i can walk in and there is no one there.

Idk why but every time I call they never answer the phone and whenever i show up to the store on rt 23 there’s always a sign saying the store associate “stepped out will be back soon” with the time saying “left at: 10:45am back at 11am” not trying to be petty but it’s almost every time I go there. Why are you consistently stepping out of the store at random times? For what? Starbucks? Every damn day??

No one ever answers the phone, heading there to return my 2nd failed pre-owned xbox one with 1 month. Never again will I purchase anything through Game stop. Their products are trash
Update - I went into the store around 2pm today 10/27/2024. Greeted by not so friendly workers. I wanted to return a failed xbox one. 2nd one within 30 days. He was very persistent about no refund due to being over 15 days. Even tho I paid extra for 2 yr warranty.
I called corporate and they stated since the 1st return wasn't a refund or warranty, (it was a defective replacement) that they should 100% do a full refund if I asked. But now corporate wants me to take it to a different store to get my refund... well see how this goes but as of now I'm beyond irate and completely pissed at gamestop for how this is being handled. The staff in your wayne nj store suck!

GameStop is very heavily leveraging the used resale market where they buy things at 10% of their new cost and sell it at 95% of the new cost.
They also signed me up to a GameStop pro account to get a discount on my purchase yet neglected to tell me they charge me for the discount membership. Overall these sneaky practices make me distrust the company.

Terrible service. Sunday crew is completely clueless about any product knowledge or current GameStop promotions. Walked in and one of the works there were sitting there playing on there Nintendo switch. I see why game stop is in the toilet. I’m going to stick to buying game digitally. What a joke

Been going to this game stop for over 10 years, Bought a new controller and put the protection plan on it. Fast forward it has drift stick. I bring the controller with the box back to the store only for them to give me a used broke controller and pay protection again. The new controllers b button doesn’t work after few days, I explain it to the exact person who sold it to me and promised me they are refurbished and work. he refuses to give me a my money back or give me a new controller which is the right thing to do. He said he’s the manager but didn’t seem like it, he lets multiple customers walk out the store after completely ignoring them. And also lies to customers faces then plays victim when he gets caught. I will never be going to a game stop again and it’s sad because now I have to buy gaming stuff off Amazon and not support local businesses. ?
