Derbyshire's provides the kind of customer service that everyone complains you just can't get anymore. Why this store isn't packed on a daily basis is honestly beyond me! I went there about a half hour before closing and the owner, who has been in the store every time I go there, was kind enough to chat with me about furniture without ever rushing me. I went back again about half hour before closing a week later on a Friday with my husband to show him what I liked. Again, the owner and his employees were patient and kind and never rushed us. We stayed long past closing to purchase furniture and just chat with the owner who chatted with us happily about furniture and his other passion. The furniture was delivered today, and the delivery men were true pros! They were able to move large furniture around a tricky, tight area with ease. Honestly, we had narrowed down our choices to Derbyshire's and Pottery Barn, but Derbyshire's prices and quality (real wood) far surpassed what we could get at Pottery Barn. I also try to buy American-made products when possible and Derbyshire's furniture was made in the US. It was not our first time at Derbyshire's and it won't be our last! They have lots of books from which you can order if you don't see what you want. Buy furniture there. You won't be disappointed!

I have been buying there for years. Furniture is quality. They charged me over 400.00 to deliver my dresser. They told me it was heavy, probably difficult to do yourself. The dresser was delivered from the back of someone's car. For over 400, I would have thought it would have been delivered in a truck. Do not be ripped off by these people. The delivery price is an deliberate attempt to steal from you. Will not be buying from them again and you shouldn't either. Disgraceful!

I bought a teak dresser. Agreed to deliver price because the man who sold it to me said it is very heavy. The delivery was 400 dollars. I assumed (silly me), this was gas, tolls, truck(makes it more expensive). The dresser was delivered from the back of a car. Sorry, I call foul. That is a blatant rip off. Will never buy from them again. No one should pay that for delivery. Will be contacting BBB, this sounds exorbitant. Lesson learned! Old man who works there needs to get a Lesson about pricing and fairness.

What a great find! Family operated furniture store. Quality, variety & large selection of solid wood furniture. Special custom orders are available. The owners personal attention put the big box stores to shame.

Very positive experience. Great selection of different wood furniture pieces from bookcases to dining room sets. Pricing seemed reasonable. Highly recommend.

My furniture piece is poor quality. They took it back to “fix it”. Came back with it weeks later and it’s still not finished as promised. Paid a lot for an inferior product.

Well, where do I start. The overly priced furniture or the rude old man salesman? I’ve been in sales and as such your approach is to find out your customers needs and also try to make a connection while achieving both. Not here, at least not today. What can you say about a sales person who’s pitch is “ it’s guaranteed for life” I may not want it or need the item for life, it’s not a marriage after all. Tastes change people move on. This stuff here is far from “classic time proven style “ maybe my taste? Who knows no matter which way you cut it, the man is rude

After exhausting all of the obvious local retail spots in search of a picnic table to be used this summer followed by an equally fruitless search online, I was fortunate enough to notice Derbyshire's Solid Wood Furniture Store while driving south on Rt. 23 in Wayne.. My call to the store was a last ditch effort and it paid off! Derbyshire carries beautiful, high quality indoor and outdoor furniture . Picnic tables weren't on the floor; however, the charming saleswoman easily located just what I was looking for in a brochure of products available to be ordered. I walked out of the shop a very satisfied customer having selected just what I was looking for - a quality outdoor picnic table that will be delivered completely assembled in time for summer use and purchased at a competitive price from a trusted local company offering exceptional customer service. Couldn't be happier!
