These shelters want people to adopt these animals. I emailed for inquiry about a cat. It's been 2 weeks. Haven't heard a word.

This is the finest most caring group of animal lovers I have ever encountered. Adopting our Sneakers from SARA was one of the greatest joys. Every day she brings us love and happiness. Thank you Bonnie and all at SARA.

This is the best place to adopt cats/kitties. I have personally seen the volunteers spending countless hours out helping to rescue stray and neglected cats , even in the middle of snowstorms and hurricanes. Their dedication to helping to save a cat and find it's forever home is amazing. The volunteers are loving and caring and selfless. Sharing our beloved kitties below. If you are looking to give a forever home to a kitty I recommend reaching out to SARA and you will be thrilled with your new friend.

We adopted our two kitties 7 years ago from SARA cats, and we love them so much! Our Patches was bottle fed by a SARA foster mom, and our Petunia was saved from a kill shelter. The thought that these two sweet, loving furry souls would have been lost without the amazing kindness of SARA cats breaks my heart. I still contact SARA with questions or recommendations, and someone is always willing to help. They are true angels on earth!!

I adopted my 2 cats from SARA when they were approximately 12-14 weeks old . It was an easy process and Julia was more than accommodating. She made the process super easy . She followed up with me afterwards as both kitties had a problem adjusting to cat food . Through trial and error we found the right combination to keep their bellies calm . Her insight and experience was invaluable !Over the years I have seen personally how SARA goes out of their way to help cats . I highly recommend this organization and everyone associated with it !

Julia was absolutely amazing to help me with our foster failure.. we ended up keeping our Valentina. She set up all the vet appointments, coached me every step of the way with our new 15 year old beautiful kitty. SARA has been working with me for years and they are a wonderful organization! Please donate!

I lost my first cat January 1, 2022. He was my emotional support animal. Before February, I knew I was going to get another cat. I had no choice. A friend gave me Julia Melton’s contact information and we spoke on the phone for a while about cats and other topics. She assured me that she would hook me up with the perfect cat for me. And she did. By mid February, even as she was going through a busy time in her life, she made the arrangements for me to meet Dolly, a young cat who I knew at first sight was going to be the one to fulfill an important role in my life. She was going to be my companion and keep me going and I would do the best to make her happy and care for her needs. I have had her since February 12 and she has already been there for me through several surgeries, patient, yet entertaining me with her playfulness as a young cat. This organization gave me back a life with a cat and that is something I cannot do without.

SARA is a wonderful organization! Helped us when we found an abandoned kitty and had NO idea what to do. Also then helped us adopt the kitty and his sister he met in foster home! Answered every question we had with patience and care. Have recommended them to anyone interested in adopting a cat. Keep up the good work!

Excellent experience with SARA adopting our kitties. They are loving and very helpful with helping with anything you need to get a great adoption. Only good things to say about SARA and all the volunteers. If you are looking to adopt a cat/kitten they are the best.

I adopted my first cat from S.A.R.A. back in 2005, and many cats since. Their volunteers are the best, and always go above and beyond (especially Julia) to rescue kitties and find them happy homes. I just adopted two kittens, Tybalt and Portia, last year. I'm so glad that S.A.R.A. saved these babies. They have made my home complete ❤️

Just annoying. I've stated multiple times that I don't own a dog, but I do have a family dog that DOES NOT LIVE WITH ME! And I've been ignored twice when I tried to explain my side and I'm sick and tired. All I can say is I can see why people chose to buy their pets instead of adopting from shelters. Only positive thing I can say is all the kittens look so adorable and at least they email you as soon as you make an inquiry on pet finder. But if you have a family dog, beware!!!! smh

Very difficult shelter to deal with. It almost feels like they don't want you to adopt from them. I was strung along for 3 weeks, put through a thorough background check, and still nowhere closer to adopting a cat. After 3 weeks we didn't even have a meet and greet scheduled. I gave up and went to a different shelter, and adopted a new cat within 3 days. Save yourself the trouble and go to a shelter that is actually interested in finding animals a loving home.

This is such a hard-working and dedicated rescue. They have never let me down with any questions after adoption. They care about their cats and I adopted 2 cats, one is 20 the other is 3.Thank you SARA and Julia for your dedication and love!
