Not only did I have to tell Alyxandra B how to do my eye liner after she messed up 4 times per eye because she was not following my eye shape; which should be basics for a professional. I was also charged $70 for a 25 minute “no makeup” look.(not including her mistake time, timing no mistakes) By Ulta definition this falls under the $30 everyday makeup application.
I tried calling but the manager was argumentative, not hearing me, and not willing to help the situation at all.
My aunt has also had bad experiences here but I wanted to try for myself.
I do not recommend.
I do recommend the Sephora in Philadelphia center city, at the mall.

Stopped going here when I realized dogs were allowed in the store. Stood on a backed up checkout line while the lone cashier chatted away with someone who brought in a large-breed dog. Although the dog was on a leash, it started barking at the customer behind me holding a Shih Tzu. Lovely being between 2 growling, barking, wet dogs (raining out) - left my stuff there and never went back. Things happen for a reason though - I found that everything I wanted is available on line at a much cheaper price.

I am a cis black man who is intimated going into a beauty store by virtue of it being feminine. Despite my fear I went inside the store and met the most inclusive, kind, and knowledgeable MAC consultant ever. I will always come back to the store as long as Brianna is there to buy MAC products

I usually have a good experience. But the last time I went, I inquired about a flat iron and asked for assistance. The employee did not want to walk over to the section to assist me. She stayed over in the makeup side and just talked in general. She should have walked over with me, explained the differences, possibly provided other options, or requested someone else to assist me.

It was boring. There really is nothing here for men. Some colognes and beard maintenance. I was only here for my daughters. This is a place only for girls, women and metros and what have you. I would probably rate this higher if the "men's" section was more than 5 shelves of product. Men... avoid Ulta.

I bought two $100 gift cards at the Turnersville NJ store on 12/23. When I got home, I realized that we did not need these items. I called the store and asked about the return procedure. I was told that the store does not have the authority to issue refunds on gift cards and I should call Customer Service which I did. CS gave me a phone number (844-249-2086) to call about gift cards. I called that number and each option tells you how e-gift cards are handled. I could not get a person to speak with on any option. So, next I got a text number to for service. I sent a text with my simple question on how to return newly purchased, unused gift cards. After 55 minutes of back and forth texting, I was given the same 844 number that I tried previously. And, again, I foolishly tried to call them but got the same results as previously. So, now I'm stuck with $200 of gift cards. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, these are fairly useless. The Customer Service at Ulta is ultra horrible. No one would give me answer, or were unwilling to try to find the answer. So, my suggestion is Buyer Beware! Ulta must train their employees to speak in circles to customers to frustrate them with the hope that the customer just gives up. As of today, I'm still waiting a response with the answer to a simple question.

That is one outstanding place to buy perfume. Soon as I came in I was greeted by associate Julianna She deserves 10 stars got my product so fast it surprised me & then I was in & out mind you this was 2 days before Christmas & the store was packed. This will be the only place I buy my fragrances from for now on.
