I had an emergency with my Dog bobby and was desperately trying to find a place that would see him last minute. I called long valley animal hospital and right away they fit me in. What an amazing place and staff! So welcoming and truly worried about my dog. From the moment i walked in to the moment i walked out everyone showed such professionalism and passion for their jobs! My dog ended up having a real emergency and they were able to quickly come up with a plan. They have gained a new patient because i will definitely be going back for my dogs needs.

After years of using LVAH for our 2 dogs, I am appalled at the lack of care and compassion of this animal hospital and do not recommend it at all. After months of desperately trying to help find answers for our dogs suffering from the exact same symptoms (excessive itching, etc.) we received a diagnosis and new treatment plan from another animal hospital today, and I can confidently say the lack of initial care and a thorough exam by LVAH in November has now led to the photos you see in this review 3 months later. Anyone who can look at these pictures - or my dogs in person - and not want to try and help them shouldn't work with animals for a living. I have had my dogs in and out of this animal hospital for 3 months, along with 2 additional trips to 24 hour ER's for becoming progressively more sick since November. I recently went back to LVAH after a friend asked if our Veterinarian had ever mentioned "Mange" as a diagnosis. After briefly researching it online, I quickly realized this matched my dogs symptoms exactly. Not only did Dr. Earle never mention mange, but despite adovacting for my dogs, I once again had to pay an additional $562 for additional, repeated tests and the same ineffective antibiotics they have prescribed. He even had the audacity to scold me for not switching to a flea/tic preventative he "suggested" during our last visit and when I stated he never mentioned mange or that it would "treat" anything, he said sarcastically "well that's why I was telling you to switch..." (???) As if I'm a vet and would have been able to read his mind??? Ridiculous. As you can see by these photos, nothing he has prescribed has worked anyway. It's done the opposite. Dr. Earle had ZERO compassion for my dogs suffering under HIS watch - not to mention the incredible financial burden this has caused my family. Thousands of dollars for what could have cost a few hundred bucks and early treatment. They have nickle and dimed us for every single visit when we were just trying to find an answer watching our dogs scratch and eat away at themselves every day and night with their skin falling off all over our home. It's disgusting. It doesn't cost anything to be a good person, do your job, and care for the animals that come into your hospital. I truly wouldn't step foot back in this place if it was the last animal hospital on earth. After taking our dogs to another local vet, they told us without a doubt that both dogs need to be treated for Mange immediately and started us on a new treatment plan (it's called Revolution btw Dr Earle if you read this and decide to look it up). Quite frankly - even if it's still not the perfect answer it was such a relief to be in front of a doctor who actually cared and sympathized with the torture not only our family, but most importantly our dogs, have dealt with the last 3 months and the condition they are currently in. I hope the kind vet techs find somewhere else to work that aligns with the basic human values Dr. Earle lacks, or that he looks back one day and can humbly admit that the mark was missed and our animals suffered greatly.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Earl and the staff at Long Valley Animal Hospital. He proved himself to be knowledgeable and caring. He treated my aging 15 year old cat for the first time when I brought her there in an emergency situation. Thankfully, he brought her back from that crisis. He keeps me in the loop and carefully explains treatment options.
I know that I can count on Dr. Earl and his staff to give my cats the best possible care. He has demonstrated this for the dozen or so years that I have been taking my cats to him whether for emergencies or regularly scheduled care. He keeps me in the loop and carefully explains treatment options and I know that I can trust him and his staff.

We have been so pleased with Long Valley Animal Hospital. Our 2 y/o Bichonpoo sees Dr. Lauren Semanchik who is so sweet! Our pup has anxiety and the office is very accommodating and understanding. Rarely do we ever have to wait or are we amongst other animals/patients. It is helpful to receive their reminders for when our pup is due for vaccines. We used to go to a big animal hospital from where we used to live, and we are way more pleased with the feel of this smaller animal hospital. Would highly recommend Dr. Lauren!

We just started going to Long Valley Animal Hospital, and I have to say their staff is so nice as soon as you walk in the door. The vet tech's and Doctor's are also very nice and you see how much they love animals. I would highly recommend this Vet to anyone in the area. They take there time and answer any question. Another plus they have an app you can use to request an appointment or get general information.
