I have been working with Larry for years since a major physical set back. He always has workouts that are within my limitations but still push me to get stronger. His knowledge is so expansive. He knows so much about the human body and what makes it work best. Add in his knowledge of food and you have the whole package. Larry doesn't just know all these things he lives them, making him empathetic on top of encouraging. I would highly recommend Larry to anyone looking to become more healthy!

I have been training with Larry for about 8 months. I needed to find a way to get back on track with my fitness goals. Larry was able to sit down to assess my goals and create a road map to reach them. He provides motivation along the way for when I am discouraged and stresses the importance of being consistent. I also like that he is able to modify my workouts when needed in order to still get a good result.

I have been training with Larry for over 2 years now. He has helped and guided me in a myriad of ways. I was out of shape and losing muscle mass since I was in my late 50's. I am now 61 years old and I am in better shape than I was back then. He tailors my workouts for my body type. We are working on strength training, stability, and posture correction. He has many years of experience and so much knowledge about the human body and how it functions. The workouts are different every time, focusing on different areas of the body. He is also very personable, patient and supportive. I have come a long way since training with Larry! I highly recommend Larry as a personal trainer.

I am only 5feet 5inches tall and I was 201 ponds fat and unhappy when I started working with Larry now I'm down to 157 lean and mean. I recently had a golf outing with friends they could not believe the change they didn't recognize me. Now I move better feel better, and look better. I could not have done this without Body Basics Fitness. Thank you so much for saving me from myself. Now I have the tools for a healthy life style for the rest of my life.

I am in my mid 50s and unlike many other people my age I wasn’t looking for a personal trainer to lose weight, instead I was looking to gain back some of the muscle mass and strength I have lost over the years. I wanted to find someone that specialized in working with an older clientele that had experience with the aches and pains that come with age. I can tell you that Larry is a one of a kind gem. You can tell that he REALLY cares about his clients. He is really knowledgeable and passionate about helping people. I have used personal trainers in the past but quit pretty quickly because I didn’t feel like they took the time to figure out what would really help me with my goals and also understandmy limitations. Larry on the other hand GETS it. You will not regret your time or money spent with Larry. I have never felt better since working with him!

I’ve been working with Larry for a little over 6 months now, and was hoping he could help me get my back and the rest of my body in better shape. He has shown me that my body is connected in ways that I never realized and that working on some parts of my body benefit other parts. Who knew ?Since I’ve started training with Larry, I’ve been making better decisions about the foods I’m choosing to eat, and being more conscious about working out and the varieties of different ways I can choose to do the same exercises without getting bored.Larry will definitely help you with whatever you would like to improve. He’ll show you the proper technique and for all the exercises you’ll learn and ask you just to do only what you’re comfortable with doing.If you’re looking for a new coach to help get you feeling and looking better, then I would recommend Larry wholeheartedly.He’s a great guy that’s very knowledgeable and very flexible with his times.

Larry is awesome! He is a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to learn from. Every workout was designed specifically for my needs: his goal was to get me to a point where I could work out on my own. I now have a full workout schedule that I do at home combining dumbbells, equipment and body weight. His gym is small in size but huge in function. There is nothing missing and always 2 or 3 ways to do the same exercise. Larry is beyond accommodating as far as schedules go - he'll always reschedule if you need to cancel - even last minute - which of course I tried not to do! You can tell he loves what he does and really wants his clients to get the best experience they can - even for someone like me who really doesn't like to work out! Larry is motivating but not pushy - he let me go in the direction that I chose while giving me gentle pushes along the way. I highly recommend Larry at Body Basics Fitness if you are looking for someone to help you help yourself.

I selected Larry as my personal trainer because his approach to training was not just exercises and diet plan. He spends time explaining the movements, impact and variations of the exercises. We also discuss the successes and challenges during the week and how to improve for the next week.The coaching is a key component of his services, as he listens, motivates and promotes progressive changes that are sustainable, not drastic restrictions. He incorporates movements that do not require equipment and fit into a busy schedule. He knows when to push forward and when to stop to prevent injury. He stresses that tracking and measuring what you eat and do is important. I am able to reflect on how tracking contributes to my results.I have achieved a lot in my first 3 months, as I lost weight, reduced inflammation, and can move better. This is success for me. I basically feel better about myself and look forward to better health, slowly but surely. Larry is knowledgeable about the body and how to get results. I highly recommend Larry as a personal trainer.

Since childhood I have had lifelong knee issues that prevented me from playing sports, running or being an athletic person. I had surgeries to help with my knee issues, but the last surgery that was unavoidable had left me with less mobility than I already had. Physical therapy had only done so much, I still had the limitations in certain movements and instability/popping going down stairs.A friend had started training at Body Basics fitness with Larry and recommended I try him. I decided to invest the time and money in myself and have one on one help to strengthen and overcome my issues. Since training with Larry over a year ago I no longer have the popping in my knee going down the stairs, my legs are stronger and I am building the confidence to do things I have avoided doing in fear of getting hurt. Not only are my knee issues better but I have lost weight along the way, building muscle throughout my body. Working with Larry with his knowledge, kindness and full focus on me has helped me excel on target areas with visual results overall.Thank you Larry for all of your kindness and expertise in helping me be a better, more mobile and stronger individual. I highly recommend Larry - he is an amazing trainer and great to work with - he made it FUN!. I was looking for help with a program to help me tone and build strength; it had been many years since I went to the gym regularly. Larry more than delivered - he took time to explain each exercise, and helped me build a program that I could do at home. He gave me the confidence to take what I learned and make it my own. I highly recommend Larry for those looking to start a program or to build on what they already do.

Larry is an amazing trainer with the heart of a teacher who is committed to his student’s wellbeing. During the course of training with him, I not only achieved my primary goal of losing weight but found new appreciation for strength and weight training. Prior to training with him, I didn’t have much experience lifting weights and always found it daunting. Larry taught the ABCs of strength and weight training and how to complement it with the right nutrition. His nutrition plans were customized to my goals, body, and dietary restrictions, and they were designed to go hand-in-hand with the training schedule.I found Larry’s way of training to be unique as it not only covers the physical and nutritional aspects of fitness but also psychological. I started with a singular goal of loosing weight and on my to achieving it became knowledgeable about exercising, nutrition, and the power of marginal changes over extended periods of time. I reached out to Larry when I moved to the area searching for a new gym. As a golf professional I was looking for a specific workout regimen that fit my schedule and overall goals. His friendly and enthusiastic attitude and outlook on personal fitness was great. I believe Larry really knows his stuff and can help anyone in their goals for a better life no matter the age. After working with him I feel stronger and more stable in my golf swing. He has taught me numerous workouts and stretches to improve my game. Highly recommend!

I was going to a chiropractor in the same office as Larry. One day I popped my head in to say hi as I was curious about what he did. Larry was very friendly and welcoming and a posture expert (something I needed)! While he works with all ages, he especially helps those of us who are older. I was having a shoulder problem that two chiropractors could not fix. I signed up with Larry and he cured my shoulder issue the very first day! He gave me tips on how to exercise for my personal issues and needs and was professional, kind and knowledgeable. He made the workouts fun and I now have a program for myself that is not crushing but fun and easily takes care of my needs. A real bonus is that I can adjust the program to be more challenging as I progress. I would highly recommend Larry for your personal body coach.
