Oh boy, Allaire State Park camping was quite the adventure! I went with a group of friends and we were all excited to enjoy the great outdoors. But let me tell you, the mosquitoes were so big they could carry away a small child! We had to arm ourselves with bug spray and citronella candles just to survive. And don't even get me started on the campsite itself. We were situated right next to the bathrooms, which sounds convenient, but trust me, it wasn't. It was like being in the middle of Grand Central Station, but instead of trains, there were people coming and going at all hours of the night to use the facilities. I felt like I was in the middle of a human pinball machine! But the real highlight of the trip was when one of my friends accidentally set her marshmallow on fire and threw it into another camper's tent. It was a scene straight out of a slapstick comedy. The poor camper emerged from his tent covered in melted marshmallow and his hair looking like he had just stuck his finger in a light socket. Needless to say, we all had a good laugh about that one.All in all, if you're looking for a camping experience that's equal parts adventure and hilarity, Allaire State Park is the place for you! Just make sure you bring plenty of bug spray and keep your marshmallows under control.

Such a beautiful trail for hiking and biking we just so happened to pass it and go back to venture! The beautiful little bridges and such are so pretty! The pathways are nice and clear and it's not very buggy! I can't wait to go back to do the whole trail!

Nice place to camp especially for the value. Pretty small and simple. There's only 45 sites and a couple cabins. The restrooms are well kept and there's a playground. Didn't have any animal problems either which is always a plus.

The village does not follow state Covid guidelines. They let a large family group enter, all maskless, including many small children too young for the vaccine. It was not an oversight, as the group asked if they could go in without masks, and were told they could. Other buildings also had unmasked visitors. Why have guidelines, and clearly post them, if they are not going to be followed? It ruins it for those counting on the protections those guidelines provide, as well as those following rules.
