She always apologizes for the wait, even if there are only a few in line. She is thorough, friendly, helpful, kind and so sincere. She seems to LOVE helping people. We are SO very lucky to have her in our great post office of Ringwood NJ”

“Shipped an international package there. Representative Chris has been patient and informative all the time. We tried using the global express for 3 times it didn’t work out so eventually chose priority mail express. He handled the package pretty neatly and gave me two customer forms that I can fill at home if I wanna ship international package again.Two other representatives are efficient and friendly too. It’s good to see a post office operating in full capacity during holiday season.”
“Pretty well known post office.Has everything you need from a front desk, drop off boxes, you name it. Staff are quite slow but USPS’s feel understaffed everywhere.Some post offices don’t have drop off boxes so I come to this location to which has plenty of options to send your packages.Bear in mind, post offices are overclocked during the holidays.”

Ali & Margie are courteous, helpful and friendly.the outside of the facility is embarrassing for the USPS, garbage, overgrown weeds, containers of rotten food left by the dregs of society on the stairs for 2 sometimes 3 weeks. does this facility not have a maintenance crew?”

“This place is quiet convenient and the workers don’t drag their feet. I’m happy with this place considering this side of Teaneck gets nothing.The people in this area of Teaneck are known to be pretty self centered and mean. With that said leave my boy alone he been there since before i was old enough to care about mail. Also we get this rinky dink usps while cedar lane side has a nice one. This side of teaneck doesnt even get anything so im not tryna lose this usps cuz yall cranky and inappreciative.”
“The women who work here are the kindest and most patient employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with at a post office. I will never use my local post offices again because this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. They helped me use up old postage I ordered incorrectly so I could mail several packages without wasting it or buying new stamps. They were patient and kind and pleasant with everyone. We had a lovely conversation while they helped me and I honestly can’t say enough nice things. Best post office in the COUNTY!!! “All the stars for John, who helped me with passport things today. Negative stars for the woman taking pictures for the passport and processing- she rolled her eyes and huffed when I had a question. In general she was super rude, and I was nothing but polite? If it had been busy I might have understood the frustration, but it wasn't and she didn't even try to help get my documents correct.”
“They have been the friendliest and most professional staff around for many years. I have lived in other so called 'friendlier parts' of the country, but nothing matches HPO. Aside from the great service and friendly demeanor, the mail seems to get there faster when sent from the 'magic' outdoor mailbox' on the corner outside the Post Office. Kudo's also to the hard working home delivery carriers and drivers.”

With that being said, some reactions and reviews here give a false impression of this office to the public and are only based on what I have witnessed as customers having a lack of courtesy towards the gentlemen and wanting to be immune to the USPS policies. “It’s a small post office, might seem a bit outdated as well. But i actually like that about it, the small town vibes. I have been here several times since i moved. The lines vary depending on the time of day. They are open till 7pm on weekdays so that’s helpful. Every time i have been there the clerks have been super helpful. I needed a lot of help deciding what package to send and save money as well when mailing a package to Europe and robert(clerk) was really nice and helped me with weighing the stuff and even told me about the best options. I needed that just so i can decide the best route to go. The clerks are always nice about making sure the mail is properly wrapped as well. Once i didn’t have the label on right and the clerk took the time and fixed it instead of just sending me away to fix it myself. I appreciated that. So over all i would recommend this place.”

“I grew up in Waldwick and moved out when I got married. I never had a problem with the Post Office until we moved to West Orange which is serviced by the Orange Post Office. Trust me, you have no idea what poor service is until you move into a neighborhood that is only serviced by new and temporary carriers because the route you're on is one that the experienced carriers will not bid on as a work assignment because of hilly terrain. We had lost packages, missorted mail, missed deliveries, wet mail, you name it. The only good that became of their incompetence was that we became familiar with our neighbors by delivering the missorted mail to the correct people.”
