“Throughout the years I have only been in there a few times I don't frequent it often but each time I do go in there the workers are extremely helpful and friendly and they listen to you and what your needs are and they do accommodate you by pointing out what is the best item for you and they explain how to use it I will always count on this place as long as I live in this area they are pretty good I advise everyone to go there”

“I love Ace Hardware in River Edge cause of the paints, grills, and everything else. My program works at Ace Hardware on Tuesday's to clean the grills, sweep the floors, fix the shelves, and restock the shelves. My grandparents, Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Mike sometimes go to Ace Hardware to pick up things for their houses. I also ran into Mr. deMarrais while I was at Ace Hardware. Ace is the Place for the helpful hardware folks.”

Dan answered and he was extremely helpful. He told me to order the item online and he would ship it out. Took him less than an hour to do so. That is great customer service. “This store is the personification of the "the little engine can could". I've been going here for over 30 years and rarely leave disappointed. I love to support local businesses and this one makes it so easy. This small store has a little bit of everything. I'm constantly amazed how many times I've gone in doubting they have what I'm looking for and walk out with something that if not exact good enough. Being a small business, they don't aim to compete on price but make up for it with service and 1 or 2 versions of a lot of different products. Over the years they've saved by backside a bunch of times when everyone else was closed not to mention the drive time to go to Home Depot or Lowe's If your looking for a local store that's delivers well beyond its size, go to Butlers.”

“As a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot.My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.”
