The employees are very friendly and helpful, but the shelter can be very disorganized. You will likely have to make several attempts to adopt, volunteer or foster.

We came here to see if any of our lost cats had showed up here. Although we didn't find them here, the process of being guided through the building by an employee was very simple and nice, and everyone was very helpful.

Got the nicest sweetest dog. Such polite staff. The adoption process was so good. I can't believe how many animals these people have and it's just so amazing how well kept these animals are.

I adopted a kitten. Skip-bo now Chase.
He was very ill within a couple days and the people at spca took care of him and made him well . He is 11 mo old now and so spoiled. Thank you so much!!!

This is my second time adopting a kitten from the shelter...and again... Hailey has went above and beyond !...She has made both processes so special !...She is a true professional at her job it's quite amazing...Just waiting on my kitten to be Spayed...If you ever want to adopt a pet....I recommend you stop at the shelter and see Hailey !...I guarantee that you will be as pleased as me !!!....Thank You again Hailey !!!.... ?

We are in the process of adopting a dog from SJRAS and everyone we have spoken to has been great and gotten back to us quickly. You can tell the staff really cares about the animals they work with and we are so excited to bring home a new family member from their shelter!

After months of searching, we found our furever pet here and we instantly fell in love. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. If we should ever desire another, we'd definitely consider this shelter.
