What a fantastic place! So clean, so organized, super super friendly staff. It looks like it's family run.

Rude service and high prices. I’m a landscape designer and horticulturalist and have been to many, many nurseries/garden centers in the NJ and NY area to source plants - they’re more expensive by 10%-25%. You’d hope that if you’re paying more you’d at least get good customer service, but both times I went the senior staff was incredibly rude. It’s too bad because I live close by and it would have been nice to support a local business. Try Pleasantdale Nursery or Cedar Grove Garden Center instead.I can't see a way to respond to the owner's comment so I'll post it here: When I say "senior staff" I'm referring to "upper management," not the actual age of the employees. Sheesh!

We've been coming here, but will never go back. Disrespected by the owner for no reason. I saw some 9-10 ft green Thujas I was looking to purchase, which I don't see often. The two young workers came up and asked if I needed help. (That's a good start ) I asked them if I purchase a bunch of these ($625 each) would they handle the install as well. They pointed at a different gentleman & said "that's the guy you need to speak to". I told the two workers, he seemed busy w his kids & didn't want to bother him, but they insisted that he's always busy & i should ask. Since it's weird for me to do their work for them, I asked the two guys if they could please ask for me if he could help for a minute. So I hear the guys go up to him & ask......I hear the owner say "the guy has his shirt off, he's not serious". Are you kidding me ?!!! What kind of answer is that? A client looking to spend $2,500-3,500 on trees and this guy is disrespecting me for no reason. (I just went for a run) Clearly, he could have kindly told a more experience worker to help me with questions & relayed someone to me, instead the two workers came back and said sorry he's busy. So I go up and say excuse me sir "why won't you help me?" He tells me he is not working and with his family. I could tell he had no appreciation or care for my business. He tells me there's plenty of people here to help (well the two employees shouldve directed me to another person then). I began to tell him also that the employees didn't know answers to my questions as well. Ex. Do deers eat these type of trees? Then refers me to his mom to only then take down my information. The owner shows a lack of respect for clients & customer service, no value or need for more business. Just tell me your busy or tell me you don't have time. Maybe he was in a bad mood. I have no idea or maybe there's a big ego there. REDIC. Never go here! Pleasantdale nurseries in west orange are very knowledgeable & have had no bad experiences here.

The best! I moved to Verona about a year ago and luckily this place is down the street from me. Sometimes I walk there just to see what they have for the season. The flowers I've purchased from here seem to last longer and grow larger than other garden centers. The prices are not outrageous like some other garden centers as well. It feels nice to not only support a local business but also get a product that is better from a large-chain box store as well. They also have a pretty large selection of seasonal produce, such as jersey tomatoes in the summer Honestly the best part is that in the fall they have really cute farm animals that you can visit!

The women who run this are fantastic. They steered to deer proof plants when I discovered that was an issue and then gave me advice for squirrel and chipmunk proofing. I have full flower boxes from spring to fall thanks to them.

Absolutely the best Verona has to offer. Their wreaths are beautiful and help to make our Christmas complete. Their staff is so helpful.

Animals looked unhappy and kept in way too small enclosures.

Avoid. The animals at roadside “petting zoos” like the one here are not well taken care of. The goats had a small enclosure with no food or water. No place to run around freely or hide from your loud, sticky children.

Eh, place looks nice from the street but then we browsed around for a bit. Not sure if inventory was sparse because of covid or what. There were a few tables with pumpkins and not much else. Peeked inside the retail area and didn't see one person, not even an employee, and absolutely nothing but an empty space with boxes in back. Nothing was on display or anything. I went to check out the farm animals, 3 sweet goats in a tiny enclosure with no food or water. Also the website isn't helpful. The links don't open and the email button just opens my email app with no email address in the To: line. Probably won't be going back here.
