I am writing reviews and publishing articles to warn brides to not do their wedding registry here. This store has completely ruined my wedding and we are going to be returning every item from our registry and rebuying with a competitor, because this store will no longer get a penny from us.
I returned a Kitchen Aid on April 22nd at 12:10PM at this store location. Despite the store having the item and taking possession of it, I have still not received my $413.67 return. Apparently, the store employee who took possession of the item did not actually put it through the system and stole the item. Days before my wedding and honeymoon, I am having to drive from NYC back to Montclair to file a police report against the store employee who stole in order to submit that to the credit card company who stole from me.
Brides beware—there are other kitchen stores with similar products who don’t treat their registry clients like this.

Beautiful store, spotlessly clean and the service is extraordinary, it's not a very large store but if you need something that they do not have in stock they will get it for you. We love this place, great atmosphere, smells wonderful and great products,.

My boyfriend and I went to the store today and a woman in a red dress was following is all around the store. It wasn’t until I loudly mentioned I was being followed that the woman in the red dress stopped following us. I still felt uncomfortable enough that we left.

Love this store! I was searching for a Dutch Oven and Camille was super friendly and so helpful- they went over the options with me and I picked up a great Staub model. Thank you Camille for making it a great experience!

For a variety of reasons, I have developed issues with food, from menu planning to shopping to cooking. During COVID these issues became worse for obvious reasons. In addition, many of my usual go-to resources were also lost. One morning as I found myself struggling with something that I was cooking, I'm not sure what possessed me to call a culinary store, but I did. I started with a few stores that were more local to me, but I didn’t get a very friendly response. Therefore, I decided to try and call one more store, a bit farther from where I lived, and I am so glad I did! Believe it or not, for the past 2 1/2 years I have been calling this same Williams Sonoma location on a regular basis asking for culinary advice. While at first the staff’s friendliness seemed to come from the fact that they were just nice people, over time I could tell, from the tone of their voices and the amount of time they tried to give me, they truly cared about my well-being. I have called the corporate office several times to praise the exceptional staff at this particular store and now, by writing this online review, I also hope to inform the public of the wonderful people who work there.Most recently, the staff have been assisting me with exploring the website so that I can shop from home, as I really need to start updating some of my kitchenware. But I hope one day to make it to the store in person, even if only to be able to thank all these wonderful people face to face.

NOT having a restroom for a customer about to make a high-end purchase, is simply bad business and unconscionable. My wife and I will never make another purchase there as a result. In addition, the prices are outrageously high.

I have been a very loyal patron to Williams and Sonoma because I believe their products are of high quality. Today I walked into the Montclair store to purchase water glasses, the sticker said they were $10 per glass. When I got to the counter they charged me $16 per glass and said "the price went up." Ultimately, she lowered the price to $13 per glass to meet me half way. I walked out of that store knowing I was just taken advantage of... shame on them for this type/quality of service. Would have never expected that from Williams and Sonoma. The drive to Short Hills where honest hopefully is more abundant would have been worth it.

DON'T SHARPEN YOUR KNIVES HERE!! A caution after my bad experience. I bought my chef's knife a couple of years and notice is starting to get dull. I thought, why not, get it sharpened. I got the knife back the next day TOTALLY SERRATED, JAGGED, and with the TIP CHIPPED. It looks like they threw the knife at a wall rather than sharpen it. The employee refused to give me the name of the person who sharpened it when I asked three or four times. No help, no refund offered, and then tried to say it came in that way!! LOL. As if it wouldn't be obvious. I feel ripped off. It was smooth before, now my knife looks like a saw. I will just sharpen my knives myself in the future. Thank you for the learned lesson!!

After a DISASTROUS experience with William Sonoma customer service I brought my wrong item into the store and Lauren at this store could not have been better. She fixed the problem with my order, dealt with customer service, got me my correct item, all in a prompt manner and was so sweet.
