Worst experience ever I brought my overly sick puppy here for two days in a row & they sent me back home with just vitamins & antibiotic; after i expressed my puppy’s breathing is very abnormal & she hasn’t ate in two days they told me her lungs are congested; but didn’t take seriousness into me saying my puppy spit up blood; just for my puppy to pass away 4 hrs later

If your pet (loved one) is in dire need of care, dont bring them here unless you dont want them to live.
Our pet was having consistent harsh coughing for the past week and now stopped wanting to eat within the last 24hrs, so my mom brought him into this facility to get him checked out. Upon retrieving xrays to see if he was having lung issues, he collapsed and gums completely went blue. They administered O2 and stated based off his xrays he wasnt going to live much longer and we should probably start thinking of putting him down…this was from a mere image without complete inquiry of medical history, nor did they show interest in taking any medical history since his symptoms at the time showed as if “he wasnt going to make it much longer.”
I fought and advocated for our pet as I then explained he does have a history of epilepsy and wanting more information at whats causing his symptoms prior to just deciding to “put him to sleep”. They said our only options were to put him down or get him transferred to a specialist in an ER Vet Hospital which they dont think he is going to make the transfer because it was about 30+minutes away.
Upon asking if there were some sort of O2 portable device he can have in order to make the transport since it was really all that was keeping him stable at the time, I was told “theres no such thing…”
After a quick research and few phone calls, i find out there are transports that exist just for pet emergencies and they do supply O2 as well as a vet tech to ensure your pet makes it through transport as comfortable as possible.
After transferring him to the ER successfully, the doctors there kept him on O2, did a full assessment and bloodwork, and said that he would have to see a cardiologist which they didn’t have on sight till the next following week.
Irregardless, the hospital did whatever it took to stabilize our dog, and since being at this new hospital he has not coughed or fainted once. His stats were improving, and by day 2 after an overnight stay of heart meds, O2 therapy, and hydration, (which by the way Union Hospital refused to explain to me why they couldn’t keep him hydrated even though he was passing out everytime he urinated) he recovered back to his normal self. Does he have to remain on heart meds for the remainder of his life, yes. But did he need to die for it?? NO!
The fact that this was the first answer and only solution we were convinced and pushed on, shows this place only cares about taking your money and/or doesn’t have the time to really help your pet in dire need (whether due to staffing issues or not), their first course of action would be “put it out of its misery.” Doctor Markowitz even complained I was giving him a “hard time about it”.
Im sorry if advocating and trying to do whatever it takes to save our pet’s life that we’ve had for over 14yrs is giving this place a “hard time”, i suggest everyone searches elsewhere for help, especially God forbid if your pet’s life is on the line.

Didn't catch her name, but the red-head nurse with the nose piercing was super kind and the service has been timely, welcoming, and successful for my first two visits.

The staff here is PHENOMENAL! They're extremely accommodating and the Dr. was very helpful and gave many options to help us with the situation we were in for our dog. Where most would only want to take money, Union was open to differ us to specialists and gave us several routes to take. The facility is super clean! The staff is so comforting and nice. It was a fantastic experience. It's local and so very convenient!
A++++ to Union Animal Hospital!!!

The best !! I have 2 dogs and have taken them here and they always feel better after the right medication is given to them. I am so happy with the service. They work with your budget and answer all your questions. Highly highly recommend!! Dr.King is the best !! Took my dog to the hospital and spent so much money for the wrong medication and diagnosis. Dr.King was able to tell what exactly was wrong and it’s been 2 days with the proper medication and my dog is feeling and looking so much better. Thank you so much !!

They are always attentive and kind. They listen to what I have to say and answer all my questions. They have been my Vet since my move to NJ.

My cat went in for dental work and came back looking and feeling worse. Her face was more swollen than before the procedure. When you call no one answers and no one is up front when you go in.

My dog had the worst experience at Union Animal Hospital, Union, NJ. There was one great tech but the other ones were slamming my dog around. I could hear her upset in the back about it. The doctor just watched. Ill be going elsewhere, where they don't slam my dog around.

It needs to be a zero! The front desk females are always rude and disrespectful! They messed up a neighbors dogs cremation and will not do right by her! My other neighbor is waiting for a refund from 2 months ago for a service her dog didn't get. They need to close. The former vet was awesome these people renovated it a bit years ago but they gutted definitely out the care for the pets and customer service!

Sadly, my doggie Dani had to be put down 3 weeks ago and I chose a local animal hospital Union Animal Hospital.
I wanted the best end of life care and services for her. We paid for a private creamation and her ashes turned into her paw.
I was quoted for 2-3 weeks but instead got a call she was ready in 9 days.
Upon getting home, my dog was in a ziplock. My heart immediately sank and I felt like the lost became even deeper.
We called for days before the manager, who is seemingly always absent or busy to finally call back.
At that time, days later, a faint explanation was given that the receptionist forgot to select the SERVICES WE PAID FOR.
Since then, almost a week later, we are yet to hear back. I called today again and was told the manager is out, the combative receptionist claimed we were called on Friday ( there's no missed call or voicemail, plus I called around 10am Friday and was told she would call back)
This is the most hurtful thing for us. Dani is family, the careless treatment from this vetinary office has cause me so much trauma, she was my first pet and this breaks my heart that people you entrust with your pets, are so careless and unapologetic about the treatment of our pet.
If this has happened to any other families, please advise me on how this was resolved.
I am posting this here for a urgent resolve as well as a warning to my neighbors before choosing this place for thier pet family members.
Nothing can replace my baby, but I am tired of crying and being lied to when this is a service we paid for that has made such a hard time 10x more traumatizing.
