Have gone to them for years. The service is the worse. They also have roaches all over the place . The price jumped up 10 additional dollars for a basic manicure and pedicure. The place is really dirty on any given day. Went a cross to check out Angie Nail Salon , that is now located across the street on Stuyvesant. Their new location is amazingly beautiful. Their price for a basic manicure and pedicure is ONLY 35 dollars. They have so many polishes to choose from. Will never go back to Star Nails EVER

I asked for a soak off, instead had my already brittle nails drilled off. Then the Spanish lady proceeds to do my acrylic with pink powder, which I did not ask for. As well as taking 2 hours just to not even put the gel correctly. Yes I complained, and no solution was offered. Will not be returning.

I work across the street, usually don't go here but It was convenient and also I just needed a color change.::: It came out terrible I thought It was because of the color but it's because It the pile up of paint that made them look super big and u flattering... also bumpy and not smooth... had to still pay and catch another nail salon to correct the simple imperfections

They say they take the last person at 6:30pm because the owner David not here Gabbie told me I can wait if I want but nobody is doing my feet I called they said the last person is at 6:30 i got here at 6:20 me an Gabbie went back an forth I said I'm not leaving change my polish or stop saying 6:30 an say 6:00 Star Nails in Union has the worse customer service ever when the owner David is not around FIND a new place to go do not support them

My toe became infected and that was it for me. They also don't use acrylic IT'S DENTURE POWDER!!!!!!!!!! This is what I was told by my new nail tech. It took them 3 hours to take that nonsense off. Please believe the reviews. Rude and nasty is what you get. I just kept going because I liked who did my feet. But when you understand that you shouldn't put money where you are not appreciated you'll stop. It's not worth it.

They charge premium prices for subpar work. The quality has gone tremendously over the last few years. There are new workers who just sit around and really don’t know what they are doing. They don’t invest in their business, When tools break they do not fix them. Disgusting. Also parking now is a hassle since there are new apt buildings being built.Services: Pedicure

Star nails has gone down in quality over the last few years. They charge for premium service but the actual service is crappy and poor. Its sad because Ive been a customer for many years and I'm now looking for another salon to service me.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and every year it just gets worse. I think this is my final- “I’ve had it moment”. The quality is terrible and the workers are rude. I had the lady burn my foot because the water was so hot. I disregarded it as a mistake but then just look LOOK at my pedicure. I don’t have crooked feet but this lady filed my toe nail as if I have bunions and my toes face in a crooked direction. Not only that but the polish is put on terribly and their selection is polish that is alll old. I have never had such a poorly executed pedicure and I don’t even understand how this place continues to have business. So disappointed and will never come back here.

Never a wait however, all the "nail techs" aren't nail techs. They are not professional trained. The girl whondis my nails last week filed my nail to low. The gel manicure lasted less than a week and do not let them do your eyebrows.

Rushed and painful, sloppy paint job. No fresh acrylic for my needed nail. Supplies was not fresh. The eye brow threading is no longer provided. Very rude customer service.

If I could give this place no stars I would!!! DO NOT come to this establishment!!! I got a pedicure, the lady was so rough she made my toenail bleed & it got infected! I’ve been trying to get in touch with the owner David but he never is there, I stopped by & called different times (I don’t know if he is hiding or running from talking to me) now I have to get my lawyer involved! They are always changing the price and NONE of the workers want to actually work. If you walk in they will stand in there looking at you until they force one to actually work. There isn’t even air conditioning in there. Save yourself the headache & possible infections & go else where!
