It was placed on my pets record that I walked out without paying. I am mortified as I have to give this record to the Senior living home where the cat is being gifted to my mom. I explained to the assistant when she called and asked me did I pay because they found the sku card in the doorway of the entrance to the store, that yes, I paid and I could send her a copy of my receipt. She explained that she had no way to receive a copy of anything and proceeded to place this accusation on my pets record is absolutely insane. I'm sure this was racially motivated as they were all of Caucasian descent or other than African American ethnicity. All someone had to do was check the register for the transaction to see that it was paid! I will no longer visit Petco vaccination services and will advise others of the disparaging remarks left on Chloe's vet record. and although I know theft is a thing. I AM NO THIEF. Shame on whoever placed this on my pets record without doing their due diligence first!

I would give them zero stars if that were possible. Basically, I paid for services I did not receive I asked for D shedding haircut, shampoo, nails, teeth the whole works. My dog basically got a shampoo and a minor trim. I will not go there again. I'm talking about the store in Union, NJ on Rt. 22

The personal at the union location was horrible and very disappointing. I came into petco for the first time the grooming area I had an 1030 appointment we arrived 10.25 we waited until 1040 and we were not recognize by any of the store personal I proceeded to tap on window were I saw 2 personal standing and talking the one personal started screaming at me and telling me that was unexceptable and they would not serve me I asked to see the manager she proceeded to say they were not waitinng on me. Very rude person. neither personal had a. Name tag.

The place was your typical pet store with so many options for foods, kits and supplies. I couldn't find an employee for the life of me to show me where the fish food was which makes me think that maybe they're a little bit understaffed at the time of me writing this review. The animals were super adorable to look at but overall this pet store wasn't anything extraordinary.

Straightforward pickup of my online order but with my PayPal payment they were able to give me a gift card on the return vs send back to PayPal. They have a lot of snacks and toys and supplies, live fish and some gerbils. Adoption services and a grooming counter to one side of the store. However light on staff, had to wait a bit at the registers.

Had an appt for grooming at 8am for my two pups, I get there on time and the store is closed. Some guy comes to open up at 8:10, lets me in with no explanation, apologies, or anything. He tells me the groomer will be there shortly. I go inside and wait for another 10 mins while he's out smoking with his buddy. As I'm leaving (pissed) I see the groomer waddling in as if she just finished a bucket of fried chicken and has all the time in the world. Nope, not going back. they wasted time my time, I don't play about my time. I hope Petco monitor these comments and see they lost $100+ and then some.

They canceled my appointment today literally two hours before my booked time slot. I made this appointment weeks ago. In all that time I could have booked with another vet. Terrible place. Unprofessional. Don’t waste your time.

Place is disorganized, and the staff is not familiar with what vaccines are supposed to be administered at what time.... we brought our puppy in and thought he received all his neccessary shots 4 months later we get a call saying they forgot to administer one of them.... oh and the Vets are miserable, dont ask them any general questions because you will get an attitude!

Took our dog for a bath. They never called to confirm the appointment but luckily we called them the day of. At that point we were told they didn't have our dog's vaccination records. Appointment was booked two weeks prior but we are told this the same morning. Had to scramble to get the records because they wouldn't accept them being faxed. All the running around made us 10 mins late. The rep named Tommy tried to refuse my dog but after a not so pleasant exchange Tommy reluctantly accepted him. When we picked him up he looked and smelled exactly the same as when we took him. The same guy Tommy was responsible for washing him. He clearly decided to be spiteful and did absolutely nothing but took our money. We got a refund this am. Amber the manager was nice and apologized profusely. Unfortunately that wasn't enough. Our advice, Avoid bringing your pet here for grooming as long as Tommy is employed there. UPDATE: Tommy has been terminated!

This review is specifically for our Vetco experience at this location. We came here for our dog's vaccinations. We received a phone call as we were driving for intake prior to the appointment which definitely saved time at the visit. During the intake, we were offered to put her on flea/tick prevention in addition to heartguard prevention meds which we didn't know were part of Vetco's services. They explained the differences and gave us the financial information over the phone which was helpful so we could discuss it during the car ride. Once we checked in to Vetco, our dog's weight was taken, and we were brought inside where a vet tech asked us some more questions. Pretty quickly after, Dr. Mohamed entered. I will say that Dr. Mohamed was not very talkative, nor maybe even gentle; in fact, while we wondered Petco waiting for her blood test results, we weren't sure how we felt about the visit. However, while we were waiting and wondering about the store, someone came to find us and ushered us inside the room where Dr. Mohamed told us our dog had Lyme. He compassionately addressed our questions and concerns because we had gone to another vet to deal with a tick we found on her. He professionally educated us about the standard that should have been given and told us what to ask the next vet for the follow-up/treatment of her Lyme. He also patiently answered any questions we had after his conversation with us. Dr. Mohamed's demeanor reminded me of a surgeon; he was very clinical at the beginning of the visit, and did what he had to. However, when his patient had an illness, he took the time to properly address the concerns and even fill in the gap of knowledge. We have had a couple poor experiences with vets, but are grateful for Dr. Mohamed and Vetco's affordable help. We would definitely consider coming to this Vetco even though there are closer options for the treatment we received.
