JoAnn is fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and really listens and creates a custom workout based on my needs. I have known her for years and trained with her for many years at her studio in NJ. We relocated out of state a few years ago- and I recently reconnected with her and started training with her again on my Reformer via ZOOM! It is awesome- it is just what I needed to get myself back in shape again. I am 10 weeks in and my strength and energy have improved dramatically! I also love how she incorporates the melt method into my sessions. Highly recommend!

My life has been changed forever because of my work with Jo-Ann and the MELT Method! With chronic low back pain I thought I would never be pain free or live an active lifestyle. But in 1 session, I saw improvement and was hooked!! Over the last 2 years of working with Jo-Ann, my body awareness, flexibility, strength, and activity level have increased exponentially. She scaffolds workouts, has clear instructions and explanations, and expert knowledge of how the body functions. Her knowledge of how the body functions and proper alignment was really important to me. The one-on-one attention is unbelievable. Every workout is different. Two years in, and I love that every workout has new activities. She is always keeping it new and exciting. The space has always been clean and well organized. It's an open and welcoming atmosphere to workout. The combination of MELT Method and Pilates and Cardio workouts she creates is great for everyone, no matter your fitness level. She has changed my life so much for the better!!

When I started with Jo-Ann I had lower back pain with sciatica pain. Using the melt method and Pilates she made that pain go away. I feel stronger and healthier. She does a different workout each time so it never gets boring. The studio is so clean. She has been disinfecting her equipment between clients for years, which I loved. Jo-Ann is the best!

When I started with Jo-Ann in the 4th quarter 2018 I was suffering from chronic lower back pain, frequent stiff necks and super tight hip flexors all a result of my “desk job” and motherhood! I was surviving by going to my chiropractor (who is also a lifesaver). Once I started to feel a bit stable, I started to look for a way to start strengthening and losing weight hoping that it would help reduce the chronic pain! I always told myself that Yoga / Pilates was not for me, I need to run and sweat to get a “real” workout. However, my body told me otherwise and so did Jo-ann.Jo-Ann has changed my life! In just the first couple of weeks working with Jo-Ann I worked on the MELT method and different stretching techniques to help unhinge and remove stuck stress! I quickly learned how to MELT myself daily and found that it was effective in helping me to better control and in some cases eliminate my spams/episodes due to the frequent sitting and other stress factors. To this day, I jump on my roller daily when I can to roll out the kinks!Over time we shifted from 1x a week MELT session to a mix of Pilates and MELT 2x a week. Paired with a change of eating habits, I am the strongest I’ve ever been in my life and doing things like headstands and pull-ups! I’ve been a consistent client for over the past 1.5 years, I am feeling way better, in less pain, and finally seeing and feeling the results I’ve desired for a long time. The benefits, I am back to jogging, high impact cardo classes, chasing my kids around (giving them a run for their money), etc. THANK YOU Jo-Ann for being the best Coach! Don’t think twice, invest in yourself and see results with Jo-lates!

I have been working out for more than ten years.. have had trainers in the past as well.. but Jo has helped me discover and work the muscles I didn't even know I had. The most effective workout (for body and mind!!) and stress reliever EVER.

I just wanted to send you some quick feedback on the fantastic experience I have had so far since starting private pilates sessions with you. When I first arrived to your studio several weeks ago, numerous areas of my body were in dire need of decompression, chronic pain throughout my back and shoulders seemed to be an every day event for me for the past 2 years. After our second session together, I found immediate relief from what I thought would be life long pain. I had visited various doctors in the past few years all of whom told me they could do nothing significant to alleviate the pain as I had no apparent damage to my spinal cord or any broken bones, just prior trauma-related injuries to soft tissue and different muscle groups. Their solution - prescription pain killers when necessary and standard rehab. sessions. Although rehab. sessions did provide some relief, it was short-lived. Needless to say, at the age of 51, I had no intent of taking prescription pain killers for the rest of my life; I value my liver and kidneys. As each session progresses, I feel less pain on a daily basis and can feel my inner core growing stronger and stronger. Although no gain comes without a little discomfort, you have managed to effectively minimize any pain felt during our sessions while building strength and addressing any soft tissue damage I may have. It is quite amazing how you can successfully condition problem areas without causing the same to relapse during or after each session.
