I just wanted to share what marvelous work the ladies over at Irene's perform on a regular basis. Recently, I tore a sleeve on a prized leather jacket. I was distraught over losing this winter wear. Well, Irene's experts repaired the torn leather perfectly. Many thanks !

I’ve been going to Irene for years and recently took my baby to get measured. Irene and the ladies that work there have always been pleasant and kind to me. As an African woman, I often have my traditional outfits made in Nigeria, but I rely on Irene for measurements and any necessary alterations. I’ve never experienced any racism or rudeness from her, so I’m surprised by some of the comments here. Her establishment is very welcoming and is my go-to shop for all my tailoring needs. I drive 20 minutes, passing many other tailors, just to come here because of the excellent service Irene provides. She also doesn’t charge for measurements, while other places typically ask for $10 or more. Thank you, Irene, for always being gracious.

RACISM! The individuals at this establishment were extremely nasty and down right rude. I came here to see if the owners would help me with my measurements so that I may order my dress for an Indian wedding that I am attending with the hopes of bringing my items back for alterations since I live in this community. Not only was I question incessantly with them making the assumptions that I was going to an African wedding because I am Black but the individual who takes the measurements rolled her eyes at me and put her hand up in my face. I left without even getting my measurements completed. It was an extremely dehumanizing experience and no one in the establishment were welcoming. They tried to call after me as I was leaving but I was already rushing out of the establishment because I had tears in my eyes. I will never try support this establishment or local business ever again.

Irene and the ladies are some of the best around if not Thee best, Their efficient, prompt, and super knowledgeable, and accommodating. I call them super women because there is no deadline or issue that they don’t resolve or meet!! your in great hands either way you go ( cleaning or tailoring ), I’ve driven from NY to Union just to have garments taken care of countless times! the service is that serious! I highly recommend them for all your garment necessities.

The last time I used this service was 2009. I was thrilled to discover Irene was still at her location when I needed my formal wear dress and cape altered quickly. The service is just as professional and courteous as it was 16 years ago! Irene's level of craftsmanship is still stellar, and she and the entire staff have an excellent level of customer service!

I have had several pants and suits tailored and have been pleased most times, until I learned she’s way overpriced for the work being done. If it’s a complicated fix she can likely do it. If it’s standard alterations bring your clothes somewhere else.
