Stay away from this location. I think George is full of himself and trains the other younger people working behind the counter the wrong way. Don't treat customers like idiots. Some of us may look like clueless females, but I happen to have a construction background. No, the cartridge does not need to be brand-specific. The design and shape can be identical! Not going back to this business.Update 9.27: response from the owner!?! not sure if this business really has no idea. First of all, the guy behind the counter did not attempt to help me. He checked with George, who insisted the cartridges had to be brand-specific. On Monday, I went to Palmer's Heating & Plumbing Supply on Vauxhall Ave near Maplewood, and without even asking me what the faucet brand is, the owner provided the correct cartridge based on the 'old' cartridge, the same one I brought into General Plumbing Supply. It's unfortunate that some businesses have such a narrow mindset, but there are similar businesses nearby as well as resources online.

If you go to this store I suggest seeing Cowboy. He is by far the most knowledge in the plumbing industry and always sells you the best products at a reasonable price. He is one of my favorite vendors and always helps us out on projects. Prices are great but the knowledge on plumbing products is outstanding. He should be a manager. He always keeps cool even when he is busy and handles all our needs.

Always a pleasure dealing with the folks at GPS Union. Not a plumber, just an average homeowner. I try to get all my plumbing parte here-prices are reasonable and I ensure I get quality parts. Can always count on learning a thing or two every time I stop by. Shout out to Nick who I can always count on answering my plumbing related questions giving me good advice. Really appreciate it, keep up the great work!

Terrible customer service, looks like they are doing you a favor. you place an order they place what they think it is and if you need to return a material they can be even worse. it's no use resorting to menagen he still manages to be the worst of all, extremely rude, if you have any questions, don't ask because he's capable of biting you.

I've been dealing with Joe, the manager, Sean, and Robert aka Cowboy for a few years now. They've always treated me both on the personal and business end with such professionalism. Prices are super competitive and they always seem to have exactly what I need.

My first time experiences with both Shawn Wearing at the counter, who helped me research and then email with specific part numbers for me to take to another location for my faucet, and Manager Joe were both personal and considerate.
