So- yesterday I was working in Harvey cedars. Needed a bar for my chainsaw. I was dreading going to the mainland to go to the big commercial home improvement stores just for one thing and to be stuck in that “island traffic”. I decided on a whim that hopefully somewhere on LBI would have what I needed to complete a job (I wasn’t hopeful and probably at the time was really just procrastinating thinking I was going to have to drive off the island). I called Tuckerton lumber asked if they had what I was looking for. A gentleman put me on hold and came back on the phone saying he had exactly ONE 16in chainsaw bar for my makita! I said- I’ll be right there! When I walked in to Tuckerton lumber I was SHOCKED with all that they had!! All my life I’ve driven by (almost 34 years). I’ve been heavily working on LBI for the last 3 years. And absolutely had NO clue that Tuckerton lumber has literally ALL I would need to complete any type job I would have..Then I also thought about all the times I ran off the island just to get one thing or another to complete any work I was doing over there, as most contractors know, anything can happen, sometimes something breaks and in order to get paid or complete what ever we are doing (maybe it’s just me lol) we dreaddd having to leave the island especially in the summer time on a nice beach day! Everyone was so nice,so helpful , and I had everything brought to me by the nice gentleman that had answered my original phone call(chainsaw bar and new chain)! This place deserves 10 stars!! Now I know where my go to store is to get any tools/supplies I should ever need! Especially when on LBI! ? thank you Tuckerton Lumber!! You saved my day and I will be back!!

Very helpful, greeted me at the door & took me to the items I was looking for, helped with the selection & helped pick out a saw blade to cut metal. Lowes had no clue & sold me a package of blades that didn't work.
