Alara Construction replaced 4 rotting porch posts and a complete new vinyl railing. Sam and Chris did an outstanding job, meticulous and professional, paying attention to every detail. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished work. Great work!! Will call Alara for any future work!! Thank-you!!

Alara Construction should be your go to for home improvements. Sam is the consummate professional with a lot of years of experience. He knows a lot about a lot when it comes to home improvement and he brings in the right people to do the various jobs that need to be done. If you're in the market for home improvement, give Alara Construction a call and you and your home will be well taken care of! I have no hesitation recommending this company and Sam in particular for his knowledge and professionalism.

Alara Construction is the only local contractor I will work with. They renovated my kitchen, bathroom, put a new roof on and will be who I call for my addition... Do what i did -- get a quote first from Home Depot and before you commit to anything call Alara. They finished my kitchen (completely) for more than $6,000 less than HD quoted. They stand by their work and won't leave you hanging.

When I googled Home Improvement Contractor, Alara Construction popped out and I called them. Sam was very prompt and courteous, he scheduled an appointment right of way. Upon agreeing on his proposal, I hired them. They renovated 2 bathrooms along with my Kitchen. They have provided me with more upgrades, without charging me anything extra. They finished the project, ahead of schedule. Happy wife, Happy life. We are very much happy with the outcome and all I could say is Thank you Sam and his crew.Services: Remodelling

When I purchased my home, I needed to do lot of work to be livable again, after several recommendations, very close friend of my told me to call Sam at Alara Construction, LLC. Which I am glad that I did. They have done an excellent job with the roof and siding replacement. They did replace my windows and did a wonderful job with my new Kitchen and the flooring. I would recommend them to everyone. Next project would be a deck but not until next year. Great Job Sam!Services: Refurbishment

Right after Storm/Hurricane Isaias, My roofing shingles blew off and after calling my insurance agent, I called Alara Construction and Remodeling. Mete, the owner, responded quickly and when he showed up insurance adjuster was here also (perfect timing), after his conversation with the adjuster, they agreed that 100% needed to be replaced. Yesterday, 7 days after the hurricane, Sam's crew came and replaced the whole roof. They were prompt, clean and very professional.

Zero stars if possible. I hired Alara (Sam Dogan) for a 2nd story addition. Paid him over $100,000. Do yourself the favor and run!!!1. Damaged my entire first floor because they can’t tarp a house. Actually installed a tarp with holes in it... Rained inside my house for 10 days!!! He then blamed it on Mother Nature.2. Underinsured!!! Their/ his insurance company denied the water damage claim because he didn’t have “open structure water damage coverage”. Not insured to remove a roof from a house!!!3. Failed every milestone inspection.A. Plans - failedB. Temp electrical pole - failedC. Framing - failedD. Sheathing - failedE. Electrical - failedF. Final framing - failedG. What difference does it make - they failed them all.4. Brought a plumber not licensed in NJ to install my heat - now it doesn’t work!!!5. Didn’t know the bathroom design - sink too close to toilet - had to re-tile wall and move plumbing lines at the last minute due to failed final plumbing inspection.6. Shoddy tile work in bathroom - crooked tiles, shower pan holds water in one corner.7. Not on the job - guys would only show up for half days.8. Sheet-rocked the shower stall. Had to remove and replace with cement board.9. And the list unfortunately goes on....We now have many post construction issues.1. The heat doesn’t work2. Shower pan doesn’t drain - poor pitch - standing water to front after shower3. Shoddy tile work - crooked & broken tiles installed4. Light fixtures not attached properly - look like might fall5. Ceiling fan not functional - might fly off of wall and cause injury6. List goes on...I will be reporting this company to the NJ HIC for their underinsured status.Service: Remodelling

Sam and crew removed a load bearing wall in my 2 car garage. They did a terrific job. They were punctual, polite, and cleaned up afterwards. Professional work! I would highly recommend Sam and his help for any construction job. High class operation!

I have used the Handy Sam Services and also its parent Company Alara Construction, LLC. on many occasions. They were always prompt and reliable. Sam at Alara construction is a great contractor with a lot of experience in construction. I have seen him build a wonderful deck right front of my eyes and also he did a 2nd floor addition to a home. Great work!
