This place killed my cat by sending me to NorthStar Vets under the impression that they were going to help him by administering fluids as they stated he was severely dehydrated. However, we believe that they work in cohoots as 1.5 days later we woke up to my cat having passed away. They are just out for the money! I would never go there again!!!!

"For the past three years, I've trusted this vet with my dogs' care, primarily for routine shots and care for my of furry companions. However, my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. During my last visit, I came in to get shots for my dog, and to pic up simparica trio.
I requested that a technician administer the shots, as it was not necessary for my dog to see the doctor, and I wanted to save on costs. To my surprise, the staff insisted that I see the doctor, even though it was unnecessary for my dog's situation. This insistence on an unnecessary consultation ended up inflating my bill significantly. I walked out with a staggering $500 bill, which was a huge jump from what I had paid in the past for similar services.
Furthermore, I later discovered that the ownership of the veterinarian had changed hands, and it's become evident that the new owner prioritizes profits over the well-being of pets and the satisfaction of their clients. The lack of transparency in price increases was disheartening.
I write this review to inform others of my experience and urge them to be cautious when dealing with this vet. It's vital to be aware of the changes and make an informed decision when choosing a vet for your beloved pets."

My dog ate a combat roach bait and I panicked. They took her in and did an exam and called the poison control center for animals. They took such great care of her. Staff was extremely friendly and caring!

The staff is SUPER friendly and very nice! They are a great vet and take care of my dogs which I appreciate more than anything. We went to another vet before this, we switched here when an issue happened with one of my pups and they were able to squeeze us in same day and I’m grateful that we did. I am very happy here. I will be telling everyone how amazing they are and will recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE!!The doctors are terrible. They charged us over $1,000 to take X-rays of my dog when he was limping. They told us they do not know what is wrong and sent us on are way. We come back 2 weeks later because the limping was worse they tell us there’s nothing they can do and charged us $280. I did not want to pay this because they did NOTHING to help my dog. They said we need to pay or they will call the police. This use to be a good places to go to but all I can say now is DO NOT GO HERE. They have old doctors that have no idea how to treat dogs they act like they know what is going on but then want to charge $200 to send it to a doctor that will know the answer. Trust me save your money and see a real doctor.

They really came through for us last week. While we have used them before for other pets and occasional ferals from a local colony, they never saw Max, who we rescued in July. When Max and my husband go attacked by a loose dog, I called SAVA to see f they could see Max on an emergency situation. We and police did not think injuries were life threatening, but the bites were severe, and we did not wan to wait 5 or 6 hours and one of the specialty hospitals. They agreed to see him, and Dr. O'Rourke and team spent 2 hours cleaning, suturing and inserting drains. I am sure this screwed up their existing appointments (sorry to everyone who we inconvenienced). He was hurting a few days, but getting stronger every day. The drains were removed yesterday, and they prevented any swelling etc. in the multiple wound sites. We are so very grateful to SAVA for helping our Maxie. We lost our Brinda last June, rescued Max in July and we can't even think about what could have been.

Dr. O'Rourke and her staff have taken care of our mini-Poodle, Cosmo, for 19yrs. The office visits have been friendly and professional ever since he was a 10 week old puppy. Each phase of his life span has been carefully monitored .As Cosmo aged and needed to see Drs. Szydlowski and Moore more frequently these past 4 months , the kindness & gentleness demonstrated by them and the staff , was heartwarming . Sadly, Cosmo was at the point last week where the difficult decision had to be made. Dr. O'Rourke and her assistants were there to support ,guide and assist every step of the way. The empathy shared was beyond compare . The time given for us to stay with our beloved dog before, during and after the procedure in a respectful & personal manner ,was allotted . Emotional Care was given to Cosmo- and to us, with follow-up afterwards. We will be forever grateful for the support , provision of time to grieve without being rushed, and the heartfelt words shared . Thank you for all you do!

I’m so happy i chose this vet as our main one they always squeeze me in when my dog is having issues and are so compassionate and caring when it comes to him 10/10 recommend
