It was a Saturday. My wife's pain medication had just been prescribed as well as having a new plan days before all became the perfect storm. Suffering from stage 4 cancer my wife was in severe pain but due to being placed on a new plan that was forced on her by social security it wouldn't go through. These folks at this pharmacy went above and beyond to try and help my wife. They were kind and helpful beyond any standard. Genuine care for our situation. Hail to these people for their kindness and going out of their way to help us.

Been shopping here for about 10 years. The last few years under Saker ownership have been rough. Every week, shelves are empty of items on my list and I must go to a second grocery store...sometimes even basics like cottage cheese. They seem to have a particular issue stocking their own brand items...for the last 2 weeks there have been no english muffins. And...they recently "reorganized" the store which is fine except there is no sense to the relocation of items. Store is often crowded and stocking is being done during prime shopping hours, making manuevering rough. Bakery department no longer will make birthday layer cakes and our recent sheet cake order was wrong size. Time to shop elsewhere.

I've been in grocery stores all over the world. From Mexico, to the trippy world of Indonesia. From california where all the whacko hippies live to piggly wiggly where God fearing Americans stock up on their colas and meat. Despite my worldly grocery expeditions I have never experienced anything like the service of Lisa. She is literally a gift to the world with her beautiful Carmel skin, her Medusa like blonde locks, and her adornment of gold and pink accents. One fine day I happened to be in the glorious state of New Jersey and needed some personal supplies. I ended up in Lisa's line and not only was she the most friendly and helpful cashier I have ever experienced but she her charm was out of this world. As she casually checked me out for my adult diapers, Taylor ham, and prep H I came to find out she had worked there for over 30 years. At this point I really had to question the integrity of shop rite for not recognizing her amazing business acumen and customer service skills and having her run a store if not the whole company.Shop rite, give Lisa T a raise, profit sharing, and a retirement. She is unlike anyone you have ever employed. I can't wait to happen upon this Angel of a cashier again.

Check the expiration dates! So much expired food on the shelves! The vegetables and fruits are mostly all overripe or already rotting and moldy, soggy carrots, wilted greens and I've had to return moldy dairy products! I wish they would stop being so greedy and put out fresh food!

Overall a decent resource, the service in the deli is horrendous. Not a staffing issue, they have plenty of people who just don't work with any efficiency

I have been going there for a few years. They are fairly fast and organized. I get 6 Rx's and for some reason they always wait for me to ask before they call my doctor to get my refills done. They tell me they faxed the request to the doctor's office, but there is no followup.

Sunday there were no hotdog rolls on the shelves at 9 o'clock there were two bags of muscles in the frozenSo after shopping here for over 20 years I cannot believe the state of things at this store !!!! First the employees are and look miserable. I' own a summer home here but we do shop all year round . Prices and unstocked items or throughout the entire store I am finding myself buying food from my ShopRite of Rockaway and bringing it to my shore house how ridiculous is this?. A rotisserie chicken was 1299 yesterday my shop right up north 699 they are gouging the senior citizens especially there are considerable price differences on basic food items I'm a comparison shopper and I will not pay that and put up with it I'm hoping that we can get a group together and do something about this! I had a private conversation with 2 employees who stated that no one is resticking the store at night and no one coming in early morning any more ! Due to new owners not paying any extra overtime! The store is filled with premade food that I haven't seen anyone buy? I went at 9 o'clock Sunday there were no hotdog rolls there was no sushi ready no seafood put out yet employee said because they're not allowed to come in early and set up their department how sad is this I went back on Monday there was no Land O Lakes butter that was on sale there was no clams again or mussels no sushi no London broil top round steaks that were on sale I had to ask that crabby butcher to cut me one c!!!, i used to be a vendor for Sara Lee and have a contact at Wafefern .Thats my next call then after that The weights and measures company because their scales are definitely off they're gouging people which is illegal then I'm calling the patch so good luck new owners because I'm on your tail not gonna screw the good people of Thompson River especially the senior citizens on my watch I hope other people respond you have my emu and more than welcome to contact me I have no problem talking to you let's see how brave you are.I apologize for any spelling mistakes I was dictating this!

Used to enjoy going to this Shop Rite but the new owners took the quarter contraptions off the shopping carts and now there are carts around the cars. I guess if you drive a piece of junk you don't mind dents but I like my car.

Since changing hands to Saker, the changes have been horrible. So much waste. Especially with the pre sliced deli meats. First, you can't see what's what anymore. They use a bag, a piece of wax paper and a piece of foiled paper. Unnecessary especially because they need to be re-wrapped once opened because they waste the bag by closing it with a sticker. I no longer can see what ham, Turkey is what. And all the pre made food sits there. I've never seen people purchase all that crap they have sent in from god knows where. And don't think the shoppers haven't noticed the price hikes and I do T just mean Inflation. What a shame. I was proud of that Shoprite but once the greedy saker clan got their hands on it, it went down hill. Quick.

I spent 2 days searching the Shoprite pharmacy scheduler in order to get the COVID vaccine. I found an opening and booked it. Three days later, I received an email stating that my appointment was canceled due to a scheduling issue. Instead of offering me another appointment option, I was directed to go back to the scheduler and find another appointment. Unfortunately, there are no openings! If they were decent, someone should have called me and apologized for their error and offered me another appointment. ?

Been coming here for over 27 yrs. During this crazy time we all have experienced alot of changes in businesses some good some not, so when I run across someone that's extremely helpful and is extremely courtesy I have to say good job!! Pat in the deli. Super job and taught me something about a new cheese I didnt know of. Needless to say I will be back for more of the same recommendation. Thank you!
