July 2024 by Exquisite Sleepwear
The first time I went to Professional Hair Design everything went great. I received a sharp haircut, nice highlights and lots of compliments.
My hairdresser was very sweet.
I then took my mother back for a cut and color everything was fine. The 2nd time I brought my mother back she cut her hair to 2 inches long (not what we expected or asked for.)
I had an appointment for myself the following day. I had a wedding and wanted the same gorgeous job she did the first time.
I asked the price prior to coming in for a full head of highlights, I was told it was $100
The haircut would cost $25 not includeing a blowout. I went for the cut and highlights, my hairdresser offered to put a glaze on my highlights to even the tone, she said I needed it. (It came out horrendous I was told I looked like ALBINO)
I didn't think twice when she said she was glazing it on since all colorists include toner with the price of highlights.
I was surprised the highlight also didn't include a blowout because how could I see what it looked like wet?
She handed me the bill adding $60 to the total.
I asked why so much? She pointed to a small handwritten paper on her wall showing the price of highlights as 100+.
I said I wasn't told anything about the additional +$ when I called and you never told me it was $60 before putting on the glaze?!. She wouldn't accept responsibility for not telling me about the added cost before.
I went to the manager who berated me in front of the entire salon. She arrogantly yelled "every service is a separate cost and the glaze is $60 same service a dye job."(different answer then my stylist) I couldn't get a sentence out, she cut me off each time. She said it's all written on the wall! Who could see the wall? Right behind her head in the front? Ridiculous! I realized the wall is their backup excuse to get away with ripping off the customers.
I said" I'm trying to have a conversation with you why are you yelling?" She ignored me and kept yelling.
My hairdresser told me it was just a higher price for the highlights never mentioning the glaze cost in her explanation (because she sneaked it in) telling me it was for the extra work she did on my highlights.
I was intimidated into paying the extra $50 (my hairdresser wrote $50 instead of $60.
The bill came $175. Plus tax and $20 tip with no blow dry. Over $200, if I would have put it on a credit card I would be charged an additional 3.5 %. My hairdresser offered to give up her tip but I gave it to her as a never coming back present. I said goodbye only to get a stoney face from the manager.I was humiliated, paid and left.
I was always polite. I asked about the sneaky $60, treated like a enemy rather than the good customer I am.
The next day I went to another salon to have the highlights corrected. I was treated so nicely, they did a gorgeous job and the price was so inexpensive. I was afraid to go back to Professional Hair Design for a correction due to the horrible treatment, overcharging and manipulation.
I'm surprised they are still in business treating customers like garbage.

Highway robbery! They sneak in extra services without telling you the price before.
If you complain to the manger, you get berated in front of the entire place. The hairdresser said she's putting a glaze on my highlights. I always get glaze or toner never get charged.
Without telling me, $60 was added to my bill for the "Glaze"
The manager was so nasty and obnoxious I couldn't get a word in. She raised her voice and didn't want to hear my side.
I ended up paying the extra $60
With a pit in my stomach, I felt humiliated. I had brought my mother in twice, and this was my second time as well.
I was planning to be a regular customer, but I could not be treated like garbage after spending $100s of dollars and overcharged without asking me before.
In addition, if you use a credit card they add over 3% fee to the total.
A blow dry isn't included with any service, an additional price will be added.
I've been everywhere, and I've never experienced such arrogance and deciet.
Customers are not appreciated their just about squeezing every penny out of the customer.
My hairdresser was nice, but she has to follow the management's rules. For the money, you can find much better service, kinder people who respect and appreciate their customers.

OMG never in the 45 years that I've been getting perms have I had such a horrible experience. When a stylist has absolutely no regard for what you want and do what they want, that's not only a huge red flag but totally disrespectful to the customer. I showed this individual the size of the curl I wanted and the haircut. She insisted on cutting my hair prior to the perm which again in my 45 years of getting perms, never did a stylist cut my hair first. So this one goes scissor happy on my hair, gives me ridiculously short layers and now she knows she can't use the size rod I wanted for the size curl I wanted because she cut my hair too short. I came in there with shoulder length hair. She could have used the size rod I wanted had she rolled my hair prior to cutting layers into. She my hair so short that the front looks like I have bangs which are actually layers that were supposed to blend in with the sides which clearly don't. She dropped the ball big time and knew she was giving me what I didn't want. Mind you, everytime I tried to open my mouth and say or ask anything, she told me not to talk because it makes your head move. Fine, I'm okay with that. So when you're done, you should have listened to what I had to say. Instead she treated me like I was an idiot who never had a perm, giving me instructions. SMH This is the second time I've gone to this place and the second time someone screwed up my hair there. Over $100 later (not including tip), I couldn't get out of there fast enough....went home and wanted to cry. I'll tell you what.....no stylist will ever dictate to me what they're going to do with my hair. I could have had a beautiful perm with long layers in the style and size curl that I wanted if this stylist would have taken the time to listen to her customer and not be a dictator!!!!!

My Nane is Tina. Anna cut my hair it is very thick and was overgrown plus knotty. She gave me a great cut and style. She let me know what she was doing every step of the way. She was very meticulous and took her time to make sure every strand was cut right.Thank you Anna.

I did not care fory haircut at all. I showed the Stylist a picture but it didn't look like the photo when she was done. The entire left side in the back was longer than the right.
