I desperately needed a new front door with sidelites (mine was broken) and after 6 months of waiting on Home Depot and every other place telling me it was 12 week waiting period, someone suggested builders general. I have had the pleasure of working with Paul at the Toms River location for the past 6 months. We started to build a deck back in May, only to experience problems with 2 contractors before finally getting it done by yet a 3rd contractor in late October! Throughout this long painful ordeal, Paul was always there to help solve problems, offer advise and always fulfill needs that each contractor asked for. In fact, the entire team of the Toms River store were all helpful and understanding throughout our long journey, most notably the Counter Manager who was aware of our situation and was most professional in offering help as needed. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to do a home project make the Toms River store their first- and only stop.Rich S.

We compared prices and builders general and they were the most expensive when pricing out our new kitchen, windows and exterior doors.The sales desk seemed annoyed we were asking for prices before our purchase.

Was looking for some window sill stock and they had it on hand, along with a host of other trim and lumber. While I was there I was also pleased to see their selection of hardware, tools as well as kitchen and window showroom. There staff, Dave in particular, was very helpful.

We are really happy with our new kitchen from Builders' General designed by Kelly. We love the Fabuwood cabinets and Quartz countertops! Kelly went out of her way to guide us through the whole process and worked tirelessly giving attention to every detail. We highly recommend Kelly and Builders' General for great service and design.

Very disappointed with builders general and Mike Karlin. He recommended we purchase the incorrect window size that doubled the cost of our window but was completely wrong for our needs. This is after we gave him the measurements and style of window.Buyer beware this is a big scam place avoid builders general.- Your response on 5-29-21 is a fraud because I called John the manager John and was supposedly out for a few days and either himself or the assistant manager was going to call me, this was a week ago. The management at builders general in Toms River is a disgrace.
