The general manager Stephanie is super rude and made me rethink this gym. I like to try out gyms before I join them so I went because I saw there is a 21 day pass. She denied me the pass and said “theres weights here and they move, what else can you want.” She then tried pressuring me into getting a membership on the spot, and when I refused she called me “dumb” to my face for not joining. Nah, there’s many other gyms in the area with much better staff, where they don’t pressure you into a membership and be rude while doing it. I ended up spending 15 dollars for a day pass since I made the drive. Other than that, it is a nice gym with quality equipment.

WARNING : DO NOT BOOK PERSONAL TRAINING HERE . do not sign up for it , they take your money and are not available ever for the sessions … Bought 3 sessions in August , it is now almost march , that is 7 months , just asked for a refund they said no refunds , DO NOT BOOK PERSONAL TRAINING HERE… Will update this review if there is any update

Shift classes with Natalie are excellent. She is very motivating all throughout the workout and pushes you to perform your best at all times. Helps with modifications and exercises to benefit everyone. Very attentive in class and pays attention to each individual and gives you a boost of confidence as you’re working out to make you want to push harder. Always complimenting everyone individually.

Good gym with standard equipment. I went for 2 years and they had everything needed for lifting and cardio. They do a good job with the space they have and a large turf for stretching and calisthenics. Pretty clean overall and one of the better affordable gyms in the area. 24/7 access was great. Management and most staff were very nice, though a couple staff members were pretty rude. Also, they don’t allow for guests and the free trials are only for NJ residents (with license) so it’s pretty annoying if you have out of town guests.

Stephanie is the best trainer I have ever had! I have tried doing workout classes for years, and I have never stuck with continuing to show up to each class besides SHIFT, all thanks to Stephanie! I love the intensity, energy and motivation of the class and the spirt she brings.

The trainers don’t care- they don’t upload your program and when you go to cancel they will take away your membership access even though you’ve paid for the month. Nicholas doesn’t respond for a week at a time, and they could care less about post partum or having a newborn as need to cancel. Do not waste your money here, they have terrible customer service.

I had the misfortune of joining what I can only describe as the most unwelcoming and scheming gym I've ever seen. This is the first time I've felt the need to write a review due to how horrible my experience was.My friend and I decided to give this gym a try over the summer, but the excitement faded when we saw how expensive it was. When we expressed our hesitation to commit to a subscription, Geralyn bombarded us with so-called "better offers" and "special discounts." so we accepted. We were never told that these offers would DOUBLE in price after just one month.Despite this, we kept our subscription. We underwent a body mass scan to tailor our workouts and were offered a personal trainer. We were spoken to separately and I, despite clearly expressing my intention to follow my friend's workout routine, had to listen to Theresa make baseless assumptions about my friend's weight loss journey, insinuating unhealthy methods and making sexist remarks about women's understanding of fitness.Theresa's disrespect didn't stop there; she questioned my friend's ability to work out and even went so far as to make my friend show her how to deadlift on the spot. Despite our objections, she insisted that we needed a trainer to make any progress. This not only felt disrespectful but was also a blatant attempt to pressure us into additional expenses.While the gym facilities were passable, the overall experience was lengthy, draining, and overshadowed by the unprofessional conduct of the staff. To add insult to injury, the fee to cancel our membership was never disclosed upfront, we paid around $120 just to leave!!Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Planet Fitness, for example, offers a comparable experience with 1/6 of the cost, with far more pleasant staff. Don't fall victim to the deceptive practices of this gym – find a place that respects its members and values transparency.

I am giving Teri Cochia at the Tinton Falls location 5 stars, and if there were more I'd be glad to give her five more.Her professionalism,knowledge and customer service is impeccable and unsurpassable.If I had to give a definition of what Jersey Strong is about, I'd say that it's the people like her that keepJersey Strong, strong!Too bad there aren't more like Teri Cocoa in the world because it would be a lot healthier place!.⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I normally don't like writing reviews online because you never know what happens behind the scenes. But! This company is EXTREMELY shady. I used to be a member back in the day and absolutely loved the gym! I left for a couple years and came back and it was very obvious the dynamic changed. The fact that you have to be a member for at least a year or you get charged the $100 is honestly ridiculous. There is no wiggle room for that even expressing I was planning on moving soon. Fine whatever though I decided to give the gym a try, maybe it was just the salesperson I was working with. Turns out it was not. I eventually stopped going and decided to put a freeze on my account to decide if I want to fully cancel or maybe go back. They say that we get an email from them when our freeze trial is up since it lasts for a year. I got no such email, and was charged full price for the gym, and when I noticed and reached out I never heard from management. Even though I was told I would. This is just the worst gym and I can't believe people go to this gym. It's a waste of money and the sales staff are all liars and no one clearly communicates anything.
