I sympathize with posters who have had bad experiences at Mint .I too had an awful experience at Mint, both as a consignor and a patron . I found the owner to be unfriendly , unhelpful, and worst of all untruthful . She said she donated my merchandise because I had missed the pickup date. This was a lie!I no longer wonder why there is never anyone in the store when I pass by . I do wonder how the store stays in business in a prime location inTenafly .

She is rude and doesn't want to consign only have you buy. Don't leave anything there for consignment. She's very careless with your property. It won't come back to you the same way you brought it in.

I bought a Chanel classic bag from this store. I wanted the chain in the straps change so I contacted leather surgeon, they responded that the bag is fake. I immediately contacted the seller and forwarded all the emails. She claimed I didn't get the bag from her. I pm her and she responded about a month later to tell me that the bag wasn't purchased from her. I told her she put the bag in a green shopping bag with her sticker on it the whole transaction. That was the end of our conversation. She didn't respond anymore. I'm still open to having a conversation but I doubt that's going to happen.

Love the atmosphere! One of the most unique places I've visited. The items are one of a kind. So... I made an appointment, came in greeted and was shown around, 9 was looking for a handbag gift for my mom. The store had a great selection, got a few recommendations from the owner and ended up purchasing a Chanel classic flap bag. I recommend checking this place!

Unlike many other consignment shops who tell you " you get 40-50%" of what the item sells for" Simona lets us know exactly how much money we'll receive at the moment of drop of, which always makes me feel comfortable in leaving my expensive designer goods. I get the highest amount compared to online competitors and other local shops. She gets the BEST of the BEST, I always end up selling and buying something I love! Deff recommend, this is truly a hidden gem.

A true hidden gem! This boutique reminds me of a Parisian hole in the wall. Found amazing vintage Chanel and Fendi pieces. The owner was incredibly nice and knowledgeable on her items. Will for sure be back!

I didn’t want to buy my fiancé a typical Mall gift. I did a quick google search “women’s bags” & I came across Mint. The owner of the store was lovely & extremely helpful. I walked out with a Chanel bag which is 100 times better than a mall gift. One of a kind & my fiancé taste. I truly appreciate the help. Ill be back soon !

I'm never surprised to read the awful comments people leave when it comes to consignment shops. People are attached to their items, urgently need money and sign away to contracts before reading them. Then get surprised when the items are donated after sitting on shelves for years or if they're items go on sale after many missed calls and unanswered emails. I've gone to every consignment shop in Northern Jersey the Upper East Side and even tried selling online but NOTHING compares to my fabulous experience with Simona at MINT. She's straight forward, and very knowledgeable, she lets me know what my items are worth and EXACTLY how much money I'll make, unlike other consignment shops who just advertise as " 40-50% of selling price". I trust Simona and her team with all my luxury pieces! Most of the times, she sells my bags so I can purchase new amazing bags she gets in. It's a great experience as a consignor and as a shopper! You'll always find something exquisite and rare. My advice to future consignors, is please be mindful that this is local boutique not a daycare. You HAVE to read contracts and be aware that if your items aren't selling there is an expiration date. CHECK UP, don't forget about your items, call the team and check on status, and ask for a date to pick up any unsold items. Call in before you arrive to pick up any items to avoid waiting. This consignment boutique is a true gem. This will always be my go-to for making money and then spending on Chanel and Hermes!

This place has a lot of items but the owner is a fraud. She sells replicas mixed in with authentic items. Buyer beware. Also she is very rude and disrespectful.

This store is very deceiving. The owner appears to be extremely kind & sweet but as you spend a few minutes browsing her merchandise, most likely you'll be faced with awkward conversation when an unhappy customer walks in. I experienced it in my both visits. I simply do not understand how someone can be so manipulative and why?!? Yes, we all want to make money, but being kind, honest & respectful should be given! I believe that this owner, unfortunately, has no idea how to be fair with her customers. Those which are dropping off merchandise for resale, get ripped off with not being paid or totally underpaid while shopping customers get hit with unrealistic pricing. If you EVER want to buy something from her store, make sure you are negotiating. Why?! Well...she got it for 1/10 of the price she is offering you. She is very good in the making you believe she is offering you great a deal and she’ll feed you with lie after lie.
Unfortunately, that IS HER STYLE. I actually feel sorry for her, because, she could be a great person with a cool store but instead, she is a smooth lier with a wasted life purpose. All of you which got used by her, I'm sorry for your experience but know that Karma is catching up with her. I visited it twice & witnessed customers calling her rude & manipulative! Maybe the city itself should get involved & request her to close the store?!

I agree with the negative reviews. I brought in an Hermes bag and she kept deceptively measuring the bag from the skinnest/top part of the bag and told me it wasn't the size i knew the bag to be and therefore had less value. Don't let her sweet talk you into any deal. She'll open up to you but don't trust her. Know the price you want to pay or sell your merchandise at and stick to it or dont work with them as they are limited to the walk in traffic to their store which isn't much.

I first heard about Mint when it was located in Englewood off of Dean Street a long time ago. I had gone in a few times with my mother, looking for unique pieces. The store relocated to Tenafly and quickly became a very upscale boutique type place. It’s a great place to find one-of-a-kind items that you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere, such as couture jewelry and furs, or very rare Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermès. Reminds me a bit of What Goes Around Comes Around in East Hampton on Main.
