The school has been great! They have taken great care of my son throughout his time there. He has friends and has grown a lot since we first took the him there. I would definitely refer anyone in the future!

The childcare they provide is amazing. Place is clean. Staff is always friendly and greeting. The director and assistant director are great. Easily approachable to talk to. My child enjoys going there and wouldn’t want him going anywhere else. He has learned so much. Thank you Rhymes and Reasons.

I enrolled my son with high hopes after reading these reviews .. within the first week My son was bitten, later onWalked into him being punched repeatedly in the chest, and lastly has a permanent scar on his eye from a “scratch “ they downplayed..DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Hearing my son say “Mommy, no one hits me at my new school” !! Is just heartbreaking!Perhaps if the administration was as vigilant of the kids as they are of these reviews, these “situations” wouldn’t CONTINUE to happen ! After 3 incidents there’s isn’t much a meeting will resolve. Probably a big reason as to why they can’t retain staff!!

I would not place my child here under any circumstances. My child was bitten, repeatedly punched in the chest (I witnessed this incident myself) and sent home with a permanent scar on his face which was downplayed as a scar. All of this in a matter of months.Yet all the daycare could provide is "meeting" once we decided to remove him. While we understand things happen with kids this age, they downplayed every situation and became furious at my review of their facility. They should be that efficient and vigilant of the kids as they are of their reviews !

Our family loves Rhymes and Reasons. Our daughter went just after Covid and my son is currently attending. What sets them apart for me is their curriculum and dedication to teaching the kids. For me it's more than a day care but a place where my kids come home saying new words and phrases and telling me about new things that they've learned. I also love how seasoned the staff is. The office is also very accommodating and understanding - we had some unforeseen issues come up and they were so great and understanding!

I feel content knowing my son is safe and I don't worry about his safety. The teachers are very nice and its a open door policy for sure. My son enjoys his classmates and teachers.

Horrible management ! Owner needs to treat her employees with some respect. We have seen big turn around and every other months new employees takes place, Don’t let Marisa to scam you on leave notifications,This place always finds an excuse to charge you extra ,wouldn’t recommend this place to any family!

My daughter was having trouble with other daycares. It seemed like no one could deal with her. We found this place and they helped her make friends and learn how to be part of a group. They are life savers. My daughter aged out of there but because of their help and patience she now loves going to school and every time we pass by she excitedly yells "that's my old school!!!" It impacted her positively and remains a part of her. Thank you.

My daughter had an amazing experience at this learning center. The teachers are dedicated and work so hard to ensure each child is happy, safe and learning through play. They offered yoga, soccer, computer class, gymnastics and zumba. The director and assistant director communicate with parents on a regular basis to ensure everyone is well informed and the facility is very clean. My daughter looked forward to going to school everyday and made so much academic progress in the two years she was there. We are so happy we found this school!

My daughter attended Rhymes and Reasons for almost 3 years so we're veterans! We stayed so long because each and every teacher through every classroom was caring, patient and AMAZING! She would come home happy every day talking about her teachers, friends and experiences. Her teacher, Ms. Jill implemented a challenging new curriculum that pushed my daughter to think. Ms. Marissa, the owner, is helpful and always available. The teachers all loved the kids and helping children. They have helped her grow into a caring young lady. We wish we could have stayed longer and cried at her graduation.

Parenthood is hard. Trying to find a place for your children to learn and grow doesn't make the job easier. There are many things to consider and it can make your head spin. When considering a school for my son I knew that I wanted him to not just be another nameless student. I wanted him to belong to a community that was dedicated to him growing and learning as well has having fun and remaining safe while his father and I are at work.My son has been attending Rhymes and Reasons in Teaneck NJ for four and a half years. He is graduating in a few weeks to kindergarten!! During this time I have had the joy to watch my son flourish. He is lead by teachers with passion and I never have a doubt in my mind that he is protected. The school is consistent with its curriculum and rules while having an open door policy. I can drop in at any time unannounced if I want to! Here children are constantly engaged in play that teaches them their colors, numbers, vocabulary, as well as belonging, sharing, and leadership. Call me old fashioned but I believe that children learn best by getting up and DOING. I am happy to report that Rhymes and Reasons enriches its students with the same philosophy - there are no TVs there but there IS fresh air, toys, finger paint, and friendship! The school is pricey but when it comes to your children you get what you pay for and I am happy to invest in my son. When looking for a daycare I used Baby Center's guide to a good daycare. R&R meets every mark. Here is a break down:1. A good daycare center should have a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and be known for its nurturing environment. R&R has 5 star reviews everywhere and Mrs. Marisa has lots of letters from parents talking about how much they love the school. CHECK!2. A good daycare should have clearly established regulations for everything from operating hours to how to handle emergencies. The center should be able to supply you with a written copy of its policies. That way you know it takes its responsibility -- your baby -- seriously. If the center neither has an open-door policy nor encourages parents to stop by unannounced, chances are it has something to hide. Keep looking. A great daycare center will go beyond merely letting you in and invite you to become part of the center's community by helping with activities, accompanying the children on field trips, and so on. R&R gives all parents a handbook every year of all of it's rules. They don't bend the rules for anybody, making me feel confident that they are safe and well regulated while encouraging openness at all times. CHECK!3. The best daycare centers have structured schedules that include plenty of time for physical activity, quiet time (including daily reading sessions for groups and individuals), group programs, individual activities, meals, snacks, and free time. As I've said before in this review they have a set schedule similar to a kindergarten that gives the children plenty of time to learn, play, rest, and get a well rounded head start for school.CHECK!4. A trained, qualified staff - R&R's staff is CPR certified, keeps proper child to teacher ratios, and the staff interacts with the children with total positivism. The caregivers are responsible, enthusiastic, and well prepared. They also ask detailed questions about your child's health and care to help determine they right care for your child. CHECK!5. Clean and safe facilities - The center is clean and sanitary. Floors, walks, walls, and all. The building is adequately heated, lit, and ventilated. Staff washes their and the children's hands regularly singing a hand washing song and after every diaper change. CHECK!I really wish we didn't have to leave but every child grows up and I'm glad that he did it in one of the best places we could find.

My son joined last September into their Pre-K program. We were so nervous for him since he's very shy and had been home with us until age 4. He had a bad experience the last time we tried putting him in daycare so it was with much trepidation that we came here. We still can't believe how quickly he adjusted! He LOVES going to school now! He even asks to go on the weekends! I attribute this to everyone at Rhymes and Reasons. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure that he is feeling comfortable, welcome and most of all, happy!I can't say enough how wonderful mine (and my son's) experience with Rhymes and Reasons has been!
