“This is a community. Not only is it non-profit, but the things that are done, are exceptionally well done. They care for veterans and kids at war in different countries, something that is barely spoken of, and the beauty that this community of volunteers gets together to help is such a wonderful thing.”
“I had the incredible opportunity to serve as one of the lead teachers at Give Chances Organization, and it has proven to be an immensely valuable experience witnessing each student receiving support in their education and volunteers gaining various leadership and teaching experiences. Collaborating with both students and volunteers has enabled me to cultivate various transferable skills, including effective communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving. I am excited to witness further academic and personal growth in more students.”
“I stumbled upon this cute place while exploring the city. I had never heard of a zine before but was in awe when I walked in. It’s easy to forget about time and get lost in all the zines and books. The staff is really kind and passionate about the arts. Savannah really took her time to show me what Zines are all about. I was really inspired by her. I can’t wait to come back in the fall when I’m in the city.”
“I can't express enough gratitude for the incredible experience my family and I had with Peace4paws, especially with Amanda leading the way. From the moment we inquired about rescuing a pup, we felt welcomed and supported. Amanda's warmth and kindness instantly put us at ease, making the adoption process smooth and stress-free.
Her knowledge and passion for animal welfare were evident as she guided us through each step, ensuring we found the perfect match for our home. Amanda took the time to understand our lifestyle and preferences, ultimately introducing us to Oakley (formerly known as Wally).
Not only did Amanda facilitate the adoption process seamlessly, but she also went above and beyond to provide resources and support even after Oakley came home. Her dedication to the well-being of animals and genuine care for adopters like us truly sets Peace4paws apart.
We are forever grateful to Amanda and the entire Peace4paws team for bringing Oakley into our lives and making our adoption journey a truly unforgettable one. We wholeheartedly recommend Peace4paws to anyone looking to add a furry friend to their family. Thank you for everything!”

We went to a job fair and I was recruited by Guns Down Life Up to be a youth mentor. So give thanks to Keith, Mike and the whole Exodus community!”
“The Ridgewood Women's club is an absolutely beautiful venue that I highly recommend to anyone. My wife and I threw a baby shower the size of a wedding there (140-150 people), and the event space was perfect for it. The women who run the club are professional, responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful experience and we can't thank them enough. Everyone should look into this place for a large event. You won't be disappointed.”
“Very decent nature center and system of trails around it (see Avenza or AllTrails for precise navigation). Unfortunately mid-July situation with mosquitoes is horrible, just too many of them to enjoy the trails.”

209 W 38th St #2, New York“The Garment District Alliance decided to replace the old dark Button and Needle installed in 1996 with a shiny bright yellow button one with a chrome needle. Even at night with the new lighting, you can see it from a few blocks away.they also removed the Info Booth that was under it, it was out of use due to visitors using smartphones for information about the garment district and the businesses in the area. The button is 15 feet wide and the needle 32 feet long, the sculpture is brought to you by The Garment District Alliance with support from many others, the sculpture itself could be a collaboration between the architect and art installation firms and no one artist was mention on the opening day ceremonies or the official web site.”

“I am visiting NYC and staying on the upper east side. My friend was on a work call so I ventured out for a walk on this beautiful day. I walked down 87st and it led me here. I knew I was headed towards something great as I saw so many dogs walking in the same direction. The park was on the water and was such a refreshing scene from the city streets I just walked down. There were tons of people playing pickle ball. People chilling on park benches and just an overall good vibe. I didn't get pics of any dogs because I was petting them. :)”
“This place offers such an amazing experience. I truly enjoyed it with my kids. I went to other children's museums in the city and this is my favorite one. I was worried about it being timed but it was so much better this way. They have activities, story time, end of day parade . Was a great experience.”
“I love this little house. As children, we would come on school trips. It looked so big, but now, as an adult, everything looks so small. I adore the history and the fact that it's still standing in the middle of Inwood. It's a must-see if you're in the area. Trust me, when you're in the backyard, you're going to feel like you're not even in the city.”

“Nice place to go for a walk and clear your mind. Lots of birds and other wildlife can be heard and seen. There is a trail making it suitable for children and seniors as well. The best time to come here is in Autumn. They did some environmental restoration renovations but I'm unsure as to what exactly those positive changes were.”
