Very rude owner. Go to another place that is more welcoming to all people. I came in to consign some things, but was rejected for not having enough items. When I asked about this instead of being informed of this nicely, the owner was very defensive and completely shut me down. My mom also had a similar experience trying to consign so I know it wasn't just me.

The owner used to be an employee at a great thrift store that closed in Summit. I used to bring some Chanel and Louis Vuitton items in boxes, at that time she was very nice and cheery. My items she said sold in one week.Prior to opening her store she contacted me, then she moved her store again her personality changed to being rude etc I see the other posts and I concur. I have luxury items which I attempted to bring to her and was very turned off by her personality change.I will go elsewhere

I had the pleasure of meeting Gabrielle when I stopped in to drop off some bags for. consignment. She is a delight, and the store is adorable. Very well organized, bright and sunny!

As many of the reviews mention, the woman who runs this place is pretty unpleasant and gives off an elitist vibe. She turned down a bunch of things that were significantly nicer brands and condition than what they carry in the store without any reason given. I ended up selling them on poshmark instead for almost their original prices. It's just generally an unwelcoming store that stands out in a town that's otherwise very warm.

this owner is rude, RACIST and downright disrespectful. from my own experience and my families, they only cater to white women and disregard other people of color. it’s a shame we have someone owning a shop in this town, i thought we were more diverse then that. the way they disrespect their customers and gaslighting them should be addressed and they do not deserve to have a business if this is how they treat their customers.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the collective, and I must say it was an exceptional shopping experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made me feel right at home. The store's clean and inviting layout made browsing through their extensive collection an absolute delight.

I have been visiting Gabrielle at The Collective for about a year now and it is truly one of the most wonderful shopping experiences every time I go. Gabrielle is kind, considerate, thoughtful (always handing me a piece she thinks will look good on me) and truly cares about the collection she curates in her store. I also love knowing that the pieces I'm ready to part with are going to a place I trust. I am a mental health professional and I go to Gabrielle when I need a little pick-me-up, both in the treasures I find, to the conversations I have with her. 10/10!

I had a terrible experience at The Collective today. From the moment I entered, the shop keeper proved to be unhelpful, unwelcoming, and outright rude.I went in with my 8-month-old baby and teenage daughter. When we entered, the shop keeper asked "what we were there for." I assumed she wanted to help us find what we were searching for. I told her that I was trying to find an outfit for a party my daughter plans to attend. She then said "ok" and turned right around, giving me the impression that she was actually asking us what we were doing in the store! When I asked her how the clothing was organized, because I wanted to search for an outfit that would fit my daughter, she said "color and style" and then walked away again. It was so dismissive! She seemed so uninterested in helping us fine what we needed. When we went to leave, I had to take a moment to strap my baby into his stroller. I had left the stroller by the door (not blocking the door, but beside it) because it was wet from rain, and I didn't want to drag water through the store. My daughter waited beside me as I secured the stroller straps. Another woman wanted to enter and politely asked my daughter if she could squeeze by her to enter. The shop owner then called out from the back of the room "I'm sorry about that!" I cannot believe she had the gall to apologize to other customers about me while I was right there! It took me seconds to strap my son in, but she felt the need to say that! So rude and extremely inconsiderate to women who have young children! I am still shocked by the incident, and I sincerely hope that the shop keeper reevaluates how she interacts with customers that she doesn't personally know. Very disappointed.

Not for gents, but a gal friend was able to score some nice items. In an upscale town like Summit you'll often find some gems that are recycled through a store like this-at huge savings.

Probably the best consignment shop I’ve ever been to. The clothes are in amazing condition and I was really impressed by their selection!

Seems like a really nice store with great pieces, I’m ranking low because it is definitely out of my price range - I thought this shop had replaced the other second-hand shop that went out of business around the corner but it turns out I was wrong! I’ll come back when I get rich ?

I was excited to start my day looking at consignment stores so I arrived here a bit before 10am (open time) and waited outside the store. While I was outside the store owner/employee was confused about my standing there and asked me rudely to move so she could place clothing racks. Totally fine. I still waited. Then after 10am, 10:03, I asked if I can go in. This is when she states, “I don’t even know who you are.” Interesting considering most times customers will be first time, but maybe this store only accepts appointments, I don’t know because it was not advertised. Either way, I will not be returning because it did not seem like a welcoming or inviting place for new customers.

There is no better shopping experience than hanging out with Gabrielle. She is warm and sweet and kind and honest about what will and will not work for you. She also has amazing fashion sense, so for those who love fashion, walking into this store is a true delight!

This is my favorite shop in Summit, I purchased a very nice black jacket a gorgeous leather belt. The store owner is a lovely lady who’s very helpful. I definitely recommend it and I loved the fact that pre-loved items are finding new homes, helping people like me keeping it sustainable and fashionable ?
