I would highly recommend Rolf's services. I have used them since 2015 for my 2001 Porsche 996, and they have been wonderful to deal with. The owner, Rolf Symannek, is always around, and returns phone calls promptly, even if his office is closed that day. Rolf's recently did a first rate job of refinishing my wheels, which were 22 years old. They sanded down the curb rash/nick marks, straightened out any dents, repainted and put clear coat on the wheels so that they look brand new. They have installed tires for me, and even suggested I buy them direct from Tire Rack vs. purchasing from Rolf's since he couldn't beat their low pricing, refreshing approach coming from an independent mechanic. They have also done regular oil changes on my car, and they always keep me updated at time of pick up since my particular car has the IMS bearing potential difficulty. Rolf's is professional, reliable, and personable.Services: Oil change

Had been here before years ago to get my tires changed. That time was easy and fast. This time I made multiple calls to ensure early morning service on my only day off in awhile. Jennifer assured me that my car would be in and out by noon. When I dropped the car off, it was a different story. She wasn't sure when car would be ready. Really?! Then, a few hours later, she called me with a car evaluation of other things my car needed. Not sure what that had to do with changing the tires and alignment. Needless to say, car wasn't finished until 5pm. What a disappointment! Lost a whole day at a place that assured me it would be done quickly when I made the appointment a week before.

I have been using Rolf's to mount and balance tires on all of my BMW's over several years, also for minor repairs, ( M5, M3, M335 and M340i).I have always found them to be reliable and professional. Surprised at the bad reviews.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Just stop by with a question but the owner was so helpful. Maybe next time I have a issue I can go to this place.

Let me begin by saying, this is more of an auto body shop...if you have engine, electrical, etc. issues, your best bet is to find another shop. Now I have a Land Rover Defender. It's a quirky vehicle and I took it to Rolf's because they claimed to "specialize" in fixing them. Rolf's had my vehicle for close to 6 months and the work they did on the body was fine (replaced the rear chassis, added a bench to the back). HOWEVER, they also replaced the engine, heater core, fuel system, etc. Grand total - $20,000 (not 2,000...20,000!). I picked up the car...drove it home and it stalled. Brought it back. Picked it up again, and not only did it continue to stall, but the back wiper had a mind of its own and just kept going. I finally took the car to Rover Specialist in Garfield, NJ and they found COUNTLESS mistakes made by Rolf's (ones they really should have addressed). When I contacted Rolf's about this, I did not receive a response (which is why I decided to post here). All that being said, STEER CLEAR (pun intended) of this shop. And if you have a Land Rover Defender and live in the NJ area, just call Rover Specialist in Garfield.

I had a fine experience servicing my Porsche 911 at Rolf's. Granted, all they did was install some snow tires. I'm having the car looked at this week for a ride quality issue and will update if my impression changes after this more extensive visit. I'd like to point out that the negative reviews here are not related to the quality of service but only to cost (it's a German auto specialty shop, grow up people) and weird personal things. I

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I wish you could give zero stars. I bought my son his new first car, an older model Audi. At the time, I was driving a new Audi. Eventually I took a ride to get some minor work done on it. I pulled into Rolf's and the lot had many new cars getting work done from Porche to Mercedes to Audi. The tall skinny light hair guy at the counter who I think is the owner, if not, is definitely at least a manager, he was very arrogant towards me, made me feel like a deadbeat because I pulled in with an older model Audi. I asked to make and appointment but when he began looking at the calendar, he seemed like he did not want my business. And when I picked a date, he paused and said, before you book this date, I want you to realized that we charge labor at a rate of like $120 hour. He clearly assumed I was just an average Joe of average means who could not afford service at his shop. That was very insulting. He then said, we charge a higher rate compared to other shops because we are the best out there and give the best service. I left in disgust and and went to an Audi Dealership for work which was far less and done by experts. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE ! He is an A-hole.

Rolfs is a fantastic shop! The 3 bad reviews made no sense to me. First off, it's clear that Rolfs is a CLASSIC car shop. Why would you bring a new car there! They are known for their restorations! Of course they are expensive. They specialize in something that takes skill and gears of knowledge. Secondly $120 an hr is pretty normal rate for any German car mechanic.

Rolf's wanted to charge more than the BMW dealership to fix my car, they were also more than fifty percent higher than the other repair shop down the street. I was honest and politely explained I was having the car towed to another shop because they we so expensive. They proceeded to give the tow company a bunch of trouble to tow the car out, it was unnecessary to give the tow company a hard time.
