I needed to get my brakes replaced and saw all the recommendations on our town facebook site praising Black River Automotive, so we gave them a try. They were awesome and definitely worthy of all the praise!! They got us in quickly, evaluated what was needed, gave us a fair price and did the work needed within hours of dropping it off. All this just days before Christmas!! I highly recommend them and am so glad we gave them a try!!

I was very impressed with the honesty of them. I will definitely continue using this place. I highly recommend them. The problem was a recall and they let me know. But I let them do the work. Some places would of never said a word.

It was a beautiful summer day so my wife and I wanted to have lunch outdoors. We chose the Black River Barn in Randolph. The restaurant has a rustic look with a large outdoor seating area, a full bar, large indoor bar and spacious indoor dining areas. The menu is very large with appetizers, soups, salads, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, wraps and larger entrees. We began by sharing Asian dumplings which were delicious. My wife chose the Barn's Angus burger and a side salad, and I the penne pesto and garlic chicken with a Caesar salad. The burger was juicy with generous toppings and the pasta creamy in a garlic pesto sauce. The chicken was nicely sauteed. The Black River Barn was a good option for lunch and we will return.

Father's Day brunch.... Food was horrible. The french toast was like cardboard, potatoes burnt, bacon and sausage barely cooked and swimming in oil. Simple things they just couldn't get right. The carving station shouldn't be called that it was terrible. They had a large peel and eat shrimp section that was questionable being outside in the heat. Advertised bbq ribs and there were non to be found. They had alot of breads aka fillers and store bought pies and cakes cut into tiny pieces. Very cheap garbage foods everywhere, no fruits or healthy options. Also there were a huge mountain of dirty dishes a foot away outside the window. Not only was the food horrible but the atmosphere was as well. Over all would never go back here again. Management and cooks should find another line of work to be honest.

W0ULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN IF IT WAS FREE

Kyle is the only person I trust with my car. They are very professional and timely. They are also honest and cost effective. I can go on and on about this place, but the point is if you are looking for a mechanic - Black River Automotive is THE place.

I found Black River Auto on GoogleMaps while looking for a mechanic close to my job and went first just to get an estimate. Kyle at Black River Auto took 5 minutes to look at my truck, getting on the ground under it to clearly see and explain the issue, and gave me an estimate on the spot. I had also gone to Automotive Magic for an estimate because it was close and I had heard good things about them. Automotive Magic had to put my truck on a lift and look at it for an hour before telling me they would "price parts and call with an estimate." A week later I hadn't recieved any call back from Automotive Magic so I went with Black River Auto. I made the right choice. My truck was done quickly, the estimate almost exact, no surprise charges, no hidden problems. I used them again for my husband's car and am 100% satisfied that I have found a knowledgeable and reasonably priced local mechanic I can trust. I recommend them to everyone now. (Six months later Automotive Magic still hasn't called me with their estimate--guess they don't value customers as much as Black River Auto does.)Services: Auto brake repair

The portions were pretty large and pretty good. The service was fine and the atmosphere was "barn-like" Loud music. patio dining as well.

We go to the Barn often but the service has gone downhill. Now before you all say that service these days is not good and this is the new way, these issues could have been avoided. There were plenty of staff. All the other tables had no issues so it only seemed to be our waiter. Not sure if he was properly trained but he was mixing up tables of food and very confused. He honestly seemed overwhelmed. I don't think this job is for him. There were 6 other tables complaining. We waited 20 min for service - no issue on our part. We ordered 2 salads. Waited another 35 minutes for the food. This was during our lunch hour by the way. Food was great but waiter never came back after he placed the original order as someone else delivered food. No drink refills. Asked for the check about half-way through our salads. 15 minutes went by and I had to ask again. Still nothing. Several tables got up and were complaining about the service from this waiter. Finally I went inside and got another waiter to assist. He tried to help our waiter with the 6 tables of checks. Then, the computer broke down so credit card issue. It was a nightmare and ultimately our lunch of just two salads took a little over 2 hours and I was late getting back to work. This is the second time in a months we have had service issues. I would recommend you give yourself plenty of time because you never know anymore what the service will be like.
