Horrible customer service at the pharmacy. The window is always closed even though it’s a drive up location. The management overall at this location is lacking a lot of management skills. The current pharmacy staff is rude and very unpleasant. Sorry for the experience but not that has changed or improved since that day. Drive through still closed horrible pharmacy staff still in place

I've been with this pharmacy for over 17 years and they have been with me through a lot. I've also been with them through a lot. Anyone that's been with them awhile remembers the curmudgeon Howard. He had a rough exterior, but was helpful. He was replaced by Binta who was wonderful, as well. After that came Dan and An who are the current pharmacists. Dan would literally give you the shirt off his back along with your script if he thought it would help. He's absolutely the nicest guy and smart too. However, he's there much less than Ann. Ann, unfortunately, is not as helpful. Instead of making life easier; she can make things a bit more difficult. Like she won't call other Riteaids to see if they have scripts they may be out of etc...Ann has become much more helpful and I appreciate her effort very much. The rest of the Riteaid staff is very nice. They always greet me.This would have been 5 stars except one small annoyance:They tend to randomly stop stocking things on the shelf or stop carrying things I buy. Also they will have a BOGO sale and only one in stock of the product. So frustrating, but totally inconsequential compared to the niceness of the majority of the staff. They're a chain pharmacy that treats me like it's a hometown pharmacy. I appreciate that very much. It honestly scares me that in the future I may need to move.*Updated* 4/2018*Today I had an awful exchange with Ashley the technician. I've been having a lot of problems with the pharmacy as of late. After many years, I'm seriously considering changing pharmacies. I've downgraded my stars significantly, and not just based on this one experience.*Updated 1/2024**

PHARMACY IS VERY UNPLEASANT I don’t speak for all of them but LAUREN IN PARTICULAR. Mind you they take my insurance I typically go to a different pharmacy but that’s besides the point. There’s an issue with my prescription based off their judgement saying the handwriting looks off when it’s the same script I get monthly and she flat out says to me I won’t be calling the doctor to verify you can do it yourself we are busy. She’s the one who says there’s a discrepancy but okay and then I agreed I’ll call them even though they are hard to reach her exact words with a snobby attitude were “we are pretty busy why don’t you go to your normal pharmacy” I explained I feel pretty unwelcome she offered no apology no real reason she said they have limits monthly not that they even reached theirs yet. I felt so disrespected for no reason it’s not myFault my doctors handwriting sucks that could happen to anyone I will be speaking to the manager tomorrow.

I'm a new patient and this is my first prescription I'm trying to get filled. I've been trying for two days to call them and get my insurance straightened out but their phones are either broken or they just hang up on me without saying anything. I will not be staying here.

This all happened in the last week.My doctor called in an emergency script for me. I know it takes several hours to fill, so I called and asked if there were any way to get it filled sooner. I was told to come in in 20 minutes. Grateful, I rushed over, only to arrive as they were going on lunch. Why tell me to arrive at that exact time? Then, my doctor called in another script for me for the weekend, but the pharamacy was closed all day Sunday with no warning. My husband went today to get it as I am OUT of a needed medication. I just now went to take it -- it is the WRONG prescription. They filled something I am no longer taking, and now I do not have my neccessary medication for the evening.I have been using this pharmacy my whole life. What is going on over there lately?

Ever since they got new pharmacists it has gone downhill. I’ve called on two separate occasions and no one has picked up in pharmacy. Then when I go in and let them know that no one answered they tell me they were extremely busy. Yet when I go in about 5 minutes after I called there is absolutely no one standing in line or at the drive through. So poorly run. They need to bring back the old pharmacists who actually built a rapport with their customers and knew them by name.

Most of the time I only use the pharmacy and use the drive thru window but have gone into the store when I need other items. When you are at the and drive through they will go and get you like Alka-Seltzer or Band-Aids and things like that while you were there and they are always very friendly about doing so. I have been using rite aid for over 30 years and and from last seven or eight years I have moved and had to switch pharmacies and by far the pharmacy on Warwick Road and Stratford is the best. The pharmacy staff is always friendly and the pharmacist and the pharmacy technicians are always nice when calling and asking questions about certain prescriptions. As long as I've been using this particular Pharmacy I would give them a hundred Stars if I could they are the best the friendliest and not like the pharmacy at eagle plaza that even after 20 some years of going there they had pharmacist that seem to always give you a hard time over nothing but here at the Stratford Rite Aid the pharmacist and pharmacy technicians are always there to listen and answer any questions you might have and I appreciate them.

I have tried to shop here several times over the years and every time I go in there I'm spoken to as though I'm dirt by the people who work there. Today's incident came when I tried to check out. The cashier ( Donna ) was having a lengthy conversation with the customer ahead of me and never acknowledged that I was even there, once their conversation was over she basically acted like I was bothering her. The tone she took with me from the start of the interaction was unacceptable from the start. I went to hand her my money and it was snatched from my hand. When giving me my change she went to put it on the counter but I put my hand under and the change landed in my hand. I will never ever go to that location again although it is just around the corner from my home. Never again.

The pharmacist here is rude and condescending. He made comments about me picking up my script late, told me I had never been prescribed the medicine before (I have, but unfortunately the doctor didn’t send the script over this time) and that my insurance card was only for medical coverage and not prescription. I verified that I had the right card, got the script sent over again, and went to try again. Once again he tells me my script isn’t there, and tells me the card isn’t correct. I told him I thought it was and that it’s the only card I have. His response was “it’s not.” That was all the help he had to provide and the whole time he spoke to me he seemed suspicious as if I was doing something wrong. So I called to verify ONCE AGAIN that I have the correct insurance card and will be filling my scripts elsewhere. I’ve never felt so belittled and embarrassed just trying to fill a prescription.

The pharmacy at this Rite Aid is wonderful and the pharmacy technicians are helpful/polite. Truthfully, even after my insurance made copayments for perscriptions filled with CVS cheaper, I still try to use this Rite Aid pharmacy as much as possible, the sole reason being Dan. The woman pharmacist is also helpful and very nice, she has been helpful many times (including transferring scripts for my children if necessary or if a other pharmacy that it was called to was closing earlier than theirs)...but as far as Dan goes, he is so smart, kind and overall I TRUST him. Even if calling with a question days after an RX up he always is happy to help if possible and it means a lot having a dependable and knowledgeable person like him to help when you need assurance! He's honest and I appreciate how helpful he is, he treats every customer this way and with the same respect (even the ones who are probably a pain in the butt at times). It's truly made the difference in being a return customer....because the cashiers up front I can live without. The older women cashiers that handled the front of the store have all been friendly and helpful but there's multiple young men and one young woman working customer service at this location that act as if ringing you up is a bother or chore (even when customers are friendly). It's just uncomfortable sometimes, to feel like you're the inconvenience when you're just trying to get your merch paid for and go. As far as stock goes the store is normally well stocked and inventory is always rotated it seems! Only gave 4 stars bc of the last few encounters shopping up front but as far as the pharmacy goes, 5 stars all day!

Great place. Lots of choices but the place needs to answer the phone in the pharmacy. Bob is a good manager That is the cleanest place.
