I had order stone from another vendor in the past and the driver gave me grief about backing a single axle truck down my admittedly narrow driveway and that he couldn't angle the truck at all to dump closer to where I would ultimately place the stone. The Kirk Allen driver (Bill) who came today backed a tandem axle truck all the way down my driveway and angled it to dump exactly to where I needed the stone. I will be using them again!

We received a cord of firewood on Nov 1st, and we are first ( and last time) costumers. They gave us garbage ( the last scratch from the jar) the pieces were mixed with dirt and 1/3 of the pile is just bark and the wood is almost black! Because we didn’t have idea about it we burned it and the glass of the stove got completely black and it is super hard to remove!!!

Absolutely horrible. We ordered fill dirt and they said they would be here in the afternoon. They came hours earlier than we spoke about on the phone. Didn’t ring the doorbell (we have a video doorbell and cameras, we watched all the footage) so they dumped in street instead of to the side of our shed as requestedIn response to the owner: I will call to discuss; however; I’m still confused and quite frankly disappointed that your driver would dump this without speaking with us. It’s half in the street and half on a neighbor’s property. It should not have been left without permission. It is unusable to us now. We called immediately that day and were hung up on.

I ordered fill dirt for a project and the driver dumped the dirt in the street instead of running the doorbell to say he was there. Now to use the dirt I would have to scrape it from the street.

Update: I received a call from the owner of the company. He had apologized for the product quality and explained that he had some issues with one of his suppliers. He offered to remedy the situation and I took him up on his offer. It's nice to see a small business who cares about their reputation and about doing the right thing for their customers. Thanks Kirk Allen!Ordered 4 yards of screened topsoil, not fill dirt. The ordering was easy and the delivery came on time, but the topsoil was awful. I have spread it and raked it out twice and still cannot get over how much garbage is in it. Here's a little sampling of what I found A LOT OF, not just a few bits a pieces here and there: wire, metal coat hooks (not kidding), plastic bottles, plastic of all shapes and sizes, glass, concrete, brick, fabric, large sticks, stones up to 3 or 4 inches, plastic bags and all sorts of other garbage...it's the only multi-colored topsoil I have ever seen. If you are looking to plant grass with topsoil delivered from Kirk Allen, I would think again.

VERY nice to deal with. Great product at a great price delivered promptly. They helped me guesstimate what I needed and were spot-on. They called to let me know when the truck was leaving so I could be ready and the driver was really nice. I will absolutely use them in the future!

Ordered Select Fill 3" - and it was horrible. A full Heineken bottle, half a baseball bat, black thong were some of the hidden treasures found. It was 70% rocks ( some over 3"). The town inspector almost failed me for how bad it was.

I never ever leave reviews. Like ever. But I have to say that Kirk Allen Trucking is deserving of 10 stars. I was in a pinch and needed 6 tons of gravel delivered the same day. They had the material to my door within 45 minutes of making the phone call. Exceptional level of customer service. Definitely gained a life long customer!!

Received premium brown ‘top soil’. Entire load is littered with broken glass, ceramic shards, shredded landscape fabric, & worst of all it is about 40% 3/4 inch gravel. The flys are drawn to the pile. I have to manually screen it through bunny wire to remove sharp trash before using it. Really too bad because the driver and office person were great. Without them, I would have rated a single star.

I ordered a truck of clean filling and they brought back half of truck of stones, we had to rent a excavator to move them, they also delivered it at 9 PM, so we were not able to see it. Ordered a truck of Topsoil, the girls at the office took my information wrong even though there was a previous order she had two different phone numbers on file, she never use the other number from previous order that is going to the same address. I took off work that day waited for it to be delivered nothing was delivered. When I called the office the office manager screamed at me telling me she called, meanwhile she never did because she had taken my wrong information. Bad business bad attitude.

So friendly and helpful! Had a scheduling issue and they fit us in the schedule for a next day delivery. Definitely recommend.
