What can I say about Bay Transmission? They are honest, thorough, and do the job right. Actually, all of the above. I have the infamous GM 6L80 transmission which is known for overheating, and that’s exactly what happened to me. When I called the dealership, they were a week out. My transmission temperature was going above 250 degrees, and I knew something was wrong. I called around, and a friend recommended Bay Transmission. I reached out, and George answered the phone. After I explained the situation, he immediately told me to bring it in so he could do a fluid change and filter. He took care of me and even provided an upgrade I looked into for my transmission to help maintain the temperature. After all was said and done my transmission runs smooth and does not overheat. I cannot thank George and the whole team at Bay Transmission enough.

This garage seems to have mixed reviews regarding general repairs amongst local clientele...
It was my personal experience that I would not bring my vehicle back to this establishment unless hard-pressed...
And that is putting it nicely.

Be wary on taking your vehicle here. If the job at is too complicated, they will try to stack on other un-related work that isn't top priority.
First go-around, they held onto my vehicle for 3-4 months with a few updates. I have dropped in several times to check with the with the admin secretary to find out they forgot to order the part. I found this out on my second visit when I pressed her on what the delay was.
When returning for pick up, the wheels were pretty low on air, and the truck covered with debris. George explained the truck was "good to go" but did not go into much detail on the work performed. Mind you, this was a hefty bill for little explanation (fuel injection control module replacement). After leaving, two hours later, the check engine light came back, and the truck was reduced to limp mode.
Second go-around, they took my vehicle back for the same diagnostic codes. Prior to both service visits, I downloaded my codes that I pull with my own reader along with my friends.
Later that week, I get a return call from George stating the current issue and codes are not related, and the car had additional items compounding the CEL that were not addressed? Reluctantly, I agreed to the repairs since I was out of town and was promised over the phone we would approach a solution.
After returning, I asked if everything was resolved and if the mechanic was able to discern the problem. George looked visibly frustrated as if I was hassling him. He brushed off my questions and stated everything was fine and good after making motion to the front desk for payment.
Fair to say, this will be my last time coming here. I believe George is a good person outside of work and his mechanics and techs are very talented. But continuing to spend thousands of dollars and returning back with no solution is not it.

George and crew are top notch. Everyone goes above and beyond. Such a pleasure to deal with. Always takes the time to explain the issues and make you apart of the process, whether its plugging a tire or diagnosing a transmission issue. Highly recommend for any and all car repair!!!!!

Absolutely the WORST Mechanic we have ever used.He left the purge valve on our Caddilac wide open which left gas fumes to leak inside car. We took the vehicle to Caddilac because we were smelling fumes and they proceeded to tell my Husband the job George did was done wrong!Today my Husband’s Business Truck that George worked on went down because the radiator that he installed was not installed properly which caused the transmission hoses to explode!Service: Air conditioning

I pulled in today without an appointment. Had a warning on dashboard that a brake light was out. I was asked to come back in an hour. An hour later I returned and within 10 minutes the owner, George, was personally checking it out. Seems it was sending a bad signal cause the light was working fine. Jaguar….go figure!! Everyone there super nice and professional. Place is spotless! 17 years living here and I now have a place I feel very comfortable bringing my cars for service and repair. Time is money but George would not take anything for the time he spent on my car! Now that’s customer service!! Especially since I was never their customer before today!! Thanks again George!!
