Awful experience EVERY SINGLE TIME. African American lady on the phone through her AirPods, and literally told me to hold with a hand signal when I asked her a question to talk on the phone as if I was bothering her. Once i asked her the question, she answered in a rude manner and I left. AWFUL experience.

Smoothest experience I've ever had a post office in the US. Jamila was incredibly helpful and professional in processing my passport application. She deserves a raise!

Very nice post office. They have everything you can possibly need to ship your packages. Lovita is awesome! She will help you and answer any questions you might have. It's also nice that this post office has a parking lot. Very helpful when you are bringing in multiple packages.

Appointment doesn’t matter, they tell you to go elsewhere if don’t want to wait even if you have an appointment. And who cares if they are short on staff, hire people or create an environment so they want to work there

The staff in Springfield are great, and I hate most USPS locations. Really nice people work there, it's great. Only negative is no automated machines so waiting is annoying when someone is getting passports done and there is only one person working.

Came for passport. I was there ahead of my appointment and they let someone cut in front of me. We had to wait extra as they helped the person that they let cut ahead. Then I gave them the papers they wanted and she insinuated that I slammed the papers. I placed the papers in the desk for her. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend them for customer service. Very disappointed in the USPS system because of their poor customer service.

Overall customer service is poor. Delayed openings, allowing the front desk to be in-manned for long periods, mediocre attitudes, etc. I know it’s really not their faults but I do feel like the entire USPS system is fairly poor.

The Springfield post office is superior to any other I have been to in NJ. Lovita in particular is an absolute sweetheart. She took care of my son’s passport application today with professionalism and efficiency - as well as a few doses of good cheer and humor. And kudos to the management of this post office as well. They had the courtesy to contact me early this morning to let me know that the camera was down, so that we should bring our own photo, and they also called a second time to offer to process the application earlier than the appointed time if that was preferable to us - which it was. All this in stark contrast to the post office in Short Hills - with whom we had an appointment yesterday - they waited until we showed up yesterday (after me taking a day off work and my son taking rhe day off school) to tell us that there was no one there to process the application. (As the one person who does that has been out sick for over a week already - so they had plenty of time to let us know - they just dont bother to contact anyone because they just dont care). Today was a pleasure - and I appreciate the effort they all make at Springfield to provide great customer service!

Amazing experience at this location for my passport service! The ladies at the counter were fantastic and knowledgeable. They were super nice to everyone that walked in.....very impressed.

When the post office is working it is fine. But seems they often have issues with either under staffing, down computers, and they always open after 9am. They at best open some time after 9am when they are supposed to be open. I would say they have some issue about 30% of the time. Usually it is not to big of a deal but for instance today they were supposed to be open at 9am but put up signs saying they won't be open till 10am. Still. 50/50 chance that will be true.

Highly recommend making a passport appointment elsewhere. After waiting a month for an appointment, they called less than an hour before the appointment and said they were cancelling it because 2 clerks didn't show up. The woman was rude, and completely unapologetic. I asked her to please help me reschedule because we have a trip coming up and we need to expedite and she refused, basically her response was, too bad, find another appointment. Thrilled that this is where our tax payer dollars go.

Wonderful experience with the ladies at the Post Office. Very informative, helpful and professional. 1st time doing my passport and I had a lot of questions. Thank you for answering all of them and the staff still managed to smile and accodomate not only me but so many others in line. I’ll be back here for now on.. God bless
