I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I've been wanting to take my boy since he was prob too young to enjoy it. We all know we don't get that crystal clear look of the beach here in NJ, but it was so brown, which equates to dirty. He had a fun time in the lake playing with the kids. Their "waterpark," as they call it with about 5 or so different types of slides into a mucky lake of no one knew how many feet it was, is not for those who don't know how to swim. They do not allow you to wear a vest, and so, my son wasn't really able to ride on most of them. There were two slides that flowed into a 3 foot pool, but it looked like it hadn't been running all summer. We went at the end of August. The icing on the cake, when a little girl picked up a used (I'm taking) condom from the lake and showed her grandfather. We also all got extremely sick after that visit. Many of the attractions were even open on weekends, which is odd. It's usually the other way around. The website mentioned things that might not have existed like kayaks, unless, that, too, like the boat ride was only on weekdays. It needs to be better kept.

This place is by far the most unfair and the worst at customer service!!! Many, if not all employees have a really nasty attitude including the manager (tall, white, creepy dude). I went there to enjoy with my family on Labor Day, I purchased 6 tickets each one was $17. I paid a total of $102 to use the rides, that day this place was awfully packed with people. So, we get ready to get in the rides, four of us the first ride, and all of the sudden the the power goes off. Two of my group never got tu use the any of the rides, but we waited a fair amount of time to see if they would fix the issue. When I saw that we only had 2 hours left at the park and the rides weren’t working, I did what everyone else was doing, I went to ask for a refund. There was a group of 5 before me, and they were issued a refund, when my turn came around they said they didn’t want to give any refunds because so they wanted to keep our money and not provide the service we paid for. The manager took four of our bracelets saying he would give me a refund and then when he got all the bracelets that we purchased he said he wasn’t going to give me a refund he offered me 1/4 of a piece of index car were he wrote “come back next summer” without any stamps or any signature or anything that made that piece of paper something serious. Obviously, you’ll get there next summer and they will look at you like your a total mentally dysfunctional psycho. Anyways, I did not want to get that. He was trying to be intimidating, but to me he’s just a thief, creepy, disrespectful human being. They basically robbed me on Labor Day, too bad I cannot give this place 0 stars for all the people that didn’t get their money back!! They’re bunch of thieves.

It’s not an extremely expensive place to go to with kids. It’s a fun day out for everyone. They even have a bar area for the adults. You can go mini golfing also. It’s a great place for all ages. Definitely recommend going during the summer season.Restrooms: There are restrooms near the beach areaPicnic area: there are tables that you can use for picnics if you choose to.

They added glitter to the sand. It's in the water. This cannot be good for the environment. If you really loved the 1970s and a bunch of ridiculous rules, this is the place for you.Otherwise there are much better waterpark choices. It is expensive for the experience that they deliverRestrooms: Very dated, outhouse feelPicnic area: Tons of picnic tables but the grounds underneath the tables are unkempt and rocky

This lake use to be a nice place to enjoy during the summer, but right now the security of the park practically harassment the the people, no music even low, you are not able to bring small hammock for you to enjoy, them what we suppose to do. I now low music bother other people, but please. This is the last time me and my family come here. And something else, the water of the lake is discusting.

Nice lake with lots of activities but overpriced. It's already expensive when you go in, plus you have to pay extra for some activities. It was very crowded and the food was not good. In the middle of the day, even the bathrooms were closed because of loss of power. Overall it was OK.I have to give 5 Stars to the life guards team! They were amazing, very professional and with a public like, believe me, it wasn't easy.

I would not recommend this place especially for family. Bathroom are dirty, water smells, management is horrible. The sand is hard. Life guards that are young at age do not watch your kids. Never going back. The crowd is not the greatest. Lake is small for kids to swim in and when it gets crowded with bigger kids not safe some big kid threw sand to my son's face.

Beaches and rides are okay fun for everyone. But bathroom facilities was absolutely deplorable. No toilet paper no hand towels. Had to go to concession and give it out to people while we were all waiting online. Did mention to someone in the kitchen. But don't know if they're going to fix it. Spoke to a gentleman who someone claimed was one of the managers. The man waved me off and drove away.Restrooms: Deplorable just deplorable

The price on the website isn't what it is at the lake. My daughter is 4 yrs old, and on the website says 4 and under are free. When we got there, they said that she had to pay. The play slides in the water were very dirty and molding. You are able to buy beer there only for them to say you are not allowed to drink beer at the lake. We brought an umbrella that you stake into the sand, and you are able to stake the sides down for more stability and shade they had us fold the sides in to the umbrella so that it doesn't look like a tent when it didn't so that we can keep using it. The place has changed and for the worse. I don't think I'll go back ever again.

Excellent place for kids to play on water slides and games on natural lake water. For adults you can start your grill and bigger water rides to cater to all age groups. Overall an amazing place to spend an entire day in the summer with family!

Equipment in this park is not well maintained. The slides either are rusty or leak. The bumper boats have too small an area to ride in and have exposed outboard engines as propulsion which sound and smell bad. The paddle boats sink easily and the people manning the station seem to care about following rules to the letter as far as allowed occupancy rather than make decisions based on individual riders. The entire park had an electrical issue after a water pump for one of the slides caught fire. Life guard sprayed fire extinguisher foam into the still running pump which sprayed the foam onto a pedestrian walkway above the pump shack. The electric fault shut down all major attractions except the boats, general swimming, and minigolf. It also broke all the water for the bathroom faucets and toilets as well as the refrigerators for food and ice cream. The park charges per person and doing anything other than swimming requires a ticket which is additional money. The bridges over the water slide exits into the lake are splintering and look like they will fall apart soon. The group event pavilions are red translucent fabric which colored the light and gave people headaches. To top it all off, the park is themed after Native American stereotypes and uses slurs to gender the bathrooms. I rate this place 2 stars only because I had a good time among the people in my group. I think between the entry costs, the food, and the attractions, you could go to Mountain Creek and get more for less money. Which is saying something.

I have gone to Tomahawk lake for over 25 years. I've kept the tradition alive with my kids and have brought so many people along the way. However after my last visit I must say it will be my last. The price per person over the age of 12 is about 32.00 with the water slides. However the rides are in complete shambles. After going down the slides and swimming to the shore you are met with broken stairs, rocks and even broken glass. As with any institution, some staff members are friendly and some aren't. However there is no one who will remedy the situation which makes it even more frustrating. They have made some improvements over the years but not the ones they should have. Every single family I seen come out of the water complained they were hurt by the broken stairs under the water. I do not recommend ?

We had our grandson's 1st birthday party at this lake .. a little too crowded for a Monday but , I guess business must be good. The only thing I didn't like is that they provide no outdoor grills! They make you purchase a tiny littleHeadache of a grill . After you have paid $16 per person just to get into the lake! But , we had fun
